- Ruth (King) died peacefully with family by her side after a brief illness on Sunday, June 25, 2006 at North Bay General Hospital. She was in her 93rd year. Ruth was predeceased by her husband Frederick ?Fred? John Young, her son Joseph Lloyd Young, her sons-in-law Robert ?Bob? Miller and Gerard Corcoran. She was the loving mother of Theresa Miller of Kingston, Phillis McKenna of Powassan, Lyle Young of Hanmer, Mina Corcoran of Morinville, Alberta, James ?Jim? Young (Irene) of Powassan, Kalvin Young (Beverley ?Bev?) of Powassan, Stephen ?Steve? Young (Gail) of Powassan, Francis ?Frank? Young (Kathy) of Powassan, Veronica McCutcheon (Mark), Innisfil, Helen Armstrong (Paul) of Bracebridge, her daughters-in-law Shirley Young of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia and Theresa Young of Ottawa. Beloved grandmother of 36 grandchildren and 45 great- grandchildren. Ruth is also predeceased by her brothers William, John, Joseph, George, Henry, Daniel, and Simon King, her sisters Annie Bella King, Florence Busby, Katie King, Jenny ?Jean? Yerkie, and Ethel Newbatt.
The family will receive visitors at the PAUL FUNERAL HOME on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and at St. Joseph's Church on Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, Powassan. Interment St. Joseph's Cemetery. If desired, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
