| John Munro Pte. John H. Munro trained at Camp Borden. He served with the 48th Highlanders Regiment in Italy and Holland. When he returned his sister Wilma recalls going to the Ottawa train station with her parents. The soldiers marched to the Coliseum where families were made to sit in alphabetical order to await their loved ones. |

| John Henry Munro MUNRO, John Henry - In hospital at Almonte on Monday, Sept. 11, 1978 John Munro of Almonte in his 56th year, beloved husband of Lawrence Ladouceur and dear father of Howard of Ottawa and Roses of Almonte, dear grandfather of Philip; beloved brother of Mrs. Wilbert McLeod (Eileen) of Niagara Falls; Kenneth of Vancouver; Mrs. William F. Munro (Wilma), Carmen (Pete) and Marion all of Almonte and Mrs. John Terpstra ((Muriel) of Garson, Ontario. Predeceased by three brothers, Delbert, Daniel and Howard. Resting at the Gamble & Comba Funeral Home, 127 Church St., Almonte where service will be held on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. Interment Clayton United cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Ontario Heart Foundation.
