Notes |
- Harry Hazlewood was born in Herne Hill and was a resident of Faversham, Kent. He originally attested for the Devonshire Regiment and served during the Great War on the Western Front after 1 January 1916, later transferring to the 10th Battalion Royal Warwickshire Regiment. He is listed as being killed in action on 19 April 1918, during the battalion's operations in the vicinity of Wijtschate, in the Ypres Salient. During the week preceding his death, the battalion suffered a total of 453 casualties, Hazlewood presumably being one of the 207 posted as missing. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial, Belgium.
