- Ruby (Currier) Olson passed away November 1, 2017 at Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing in Northbridge. Her husband Alfred O. Olson predeceased her. Ruby leaves her children Carol A. Wahlgren, Alfred Olson and his wife Debra and Jerry Olson and his wife Debbie, 5 grandchildren; Kimberly Wahlgren Snyder, Katie Wahlgren Loughan, Troy Olson, Mason Olson, Shelby (Laney) Olson Giffio and 5 great-grandchildren; Letitia Snyder, Lawrence (Ray) Loughan, Hannah Snyder, Robert (RJ) Loughan and Samantha Blair Olson. Ruby was born December 19, 1926 in Worcester, MA daughter of the late Henry and Hilda (Clay) Currier. She graduated from Sutton High School in 1946 and attended Beaver College in PA. She worked at Tupperware in South Grafton and retired from General Electric in Ashland. After retiring she got very involved with the Sutton Senior Center. She was on many committees and boards and work hard to get a new senior center built. She enjoyed many things in her life however; some of her favorite things were reading, playing cards, trying out new recipes especially desserts. She and her husband loved camping, and they traveled near and far. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She will be missed dearly. We all loved her deeply and are glad she is at peace with her family that went before. All are welcome to gather with Ruby's family Thursday November 9th from 5pm to 7pm at Roney Funeral Home 152 Worcester St. N. Grafton MA 01536 followed by a prayer service at 7pm in the funeral home. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers please honor Ruby with memorial donations to The Grafton Food Bank PO Box 324 Grafton MA 01519.
