- After Florence's death, Annie travelled with the younger children to Canada to join their father who was already in Canada. Due to the times, the younger children moved in with other families to be cared for. Lucy and Jim took on the family names of their adopted familes. Jim became a Miller and Lucy became a Munro. It wasn't until Jim was in his thirties till he met his siblings again.
