Silvis, IL, Oct. 1. - (United Press) - David J. Pennock, Davenport, Ia., was instantly killed here Wednesday while at work in the yards of the Rock Island Lines shop. He was jacking up a freight car when the handle of the jack slipped, striking him on the jaw and breaking his neck.
