- Hazel Doane Gay, 94, of Clinton, died peacefully on October 28, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late Raymond and Theresa Doane. She is survived by her devoted husband of 73 years, Robert Gay as well as her daughters, Bonnie Mosher of Clinton, Janet Clark and her husband John of Coral Springs, Florida, Linda Maynard and her husband Joel of Westbrook and Pamela Anderson and her husband Harry of Killingworth. Hazel spent her young life helping on the family farm in Clinton and her married life surrounded by children. She loved nothing more than having a new baby in the family. Besides being the mother of four daughters, she was ?Grossmama? to ten grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren.
A graduate of the Morgan School, Hazel recently attended the school?s 17th Triennial Reunion where she represented the Class of 1937 as they celebrated their 75th graduation anniversary.
Hazel and Bob traveled throughout the United States with the Good Sam RV Club and spent winters together enjoying their home in Florida.
