- MEDWAY - Dorothy L. (Curtis) Anthony, 86, of Medway, died Saturday, May 5, 2007, at the Medway Country Manor.
She was the wife of Charles E. Anthony, who died in 2001.
Born in Yalesville, Conn., daughter of the late Oscar and Adie (Huntoon) Curtis, she was raised in Wrentham and had lived in Medway since 1946.
Mrs. Anthony had been a school crossing guard in Medway for 38 years. She was a member and past president of the Medway VFW Ladies Auxiliary and did much volunteer work for that organization.
She leaves a son, Edward A. Anthony of Spring Hill, Fla. and a daughter, Priscilla Smith of Medway; her sister, Vivian Stearns of Willimantic, Conn.; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
The funeral was scheduled to be held Wednesday, May 9, from the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St., Medway, followed by a funeral Mass at St. Joseph Church, Village Street, Medway, and burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Medway.
Instead of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Medway VFW Ladies Auxiliary, 126 Holliston St., Medway, MA 02053.
