  Eleanor (Brown) Conary 1917 - 2015 Norwich - Eleanor (Brown) Conary, 97, passed away September 24, 2015 at the William W. Backus Hospital. She was born October 26, 1917 in Bogota, New Jersey, the daughter of the late Howard and Elsie (Mattjetscheck) Brown, and moved to Norwich with her family as a very young girl. She was a 1939 graduate of Connecticut College. She was married to the late William C. Harding and Wilfred G. Conary. Eleanor was an avid and self-taught genealogist with a keen interest in historic research and preservation of 18th-century New England. She is survived by her sons William Harding Jr. and wife Cindy, Thomas Harding and wife Joan Nadel; daughters Judith E. Hamblen and husband Richard Wraight, Carol H. Kelleher and husband Michael, and Linda Jean Harding Warriner. She was predeceased by her daughter Cynthia J. Fogle. She is also survived by her grandchildren Bethany, Molly, Norah, Nell, Billy and Jay, and by her two great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was predeceased by her brother Richard H. Brown. A memorial service will be held October 6, 2015 at the Park Congregational Church in Norwich at 11:00 am. Burial will be private for the family.
