    • Thomas Patrick McCarthy, 80, of Gallup Hill Road, passed away Dec. 29, 2009, at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital.
He was born March 28, 1929, in New London, the son of the late Arthur and Elizabeth (Maloney) McCarthy.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He always placed his family first. He was a very generous and giving man who will be sadly missed by all.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Arthur and Robert McCarthy.
A celebration of Thomas' life will be private and at the convenience of the family.
The Montville Funeral Home of Church and Allen, 53 Route 32, Montville, is assisting the family with arrangements.
