Bath-Frank Stewart, 89, of 140 East Washington St, died Wednesday, March 29, 1995 at Taylor Health Center.
He was born May 01 1905 the son of Aley and Nora Holmes Stewart.
Frank was a retired Farmer, logger, and thrasher.
Frank built and owned the Stock-Run Dance Hall for 26 years.
He was a 65 year member of Bath Grange. He was predeceased by his first wife, Beva, who died in 1957, and granddaughter, Jerrilynn Bates.
Surviving are his wife of 37 years, Adeline Shaut Stewart of Bath, three children, son, Lloyd and Carol Stewart of Bath; daughters, Laura and Peter Matlega of Prattsburgh, and Katherine and Richard HUey of Hammondsport, seven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are being observed Friday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Bond-Davis Funeral Home of Bath. Funeral and Committal Services will be held Saturday, at 10 am in the Funeral Home. THe Rev. Judy White, officiating. Burial in Nondaga Cemetery, Bath, at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be made to the
Bath Grange or Bath Volunteer Ambulance Corp in Frank's memory.
Frank Stewart passed away March 29, 1995 at the Fred & Harriett Taylor Health Center, Urbana, Steuben County, NY.
He was born May 1 or June 1, 1905 Cameron Town Line Rd, Bath Town, Steuben, New York to Eleazer (Alex, Aley or Alan) Stewart (1874-1943)and Nora Bell Holmes (1880-1955).
He had resided on Bonny Hill.
Frank Stewart was a farmer, logger, builder, jack of all trades, and owned & operated Stocking Run Dance Hall in Bath, NY.
Burial at Bath Nondaga Cemetery, Bath, New York.
He was husband of Beulah Mae (Beva) Bush b. Aug. 8, 1906 d. Oct. 26, 1957, married March 13, 1924 Steuben, New York. Subsequently he Adeline Laura Stewart 3/27/1958.
