    • Alice "Margie" Peterson, 81, of Barton Hill, East Hampton, beloved wife of John A. Peterson for 56 years passed away peacefully Friday (January 14, 2005) at Cobalt Lodge Health Care. She was born in East Hampton, March 31, 1923 and had resided in East Hampton all her life. Before her retirement she was the personnel manager at the former W.W. Wollworth Co., Middletown for 36 years. She was a member of the Belltown Antique Car Club, and the Eastern Packard Club. Margie enjoyed knitting, and arts and crafts. Besides her husband she leaves several cousins, Beverly Lyman her faithful caregiver and companion of East Hampton; Betty Zimmerer of Middletown; William Nichols of East Hampton; her godchild, Karen Aubuet of Middletown; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Terrence and Karen Peterson of East Hampton, James and Bonnie Peterson of East Hampton; and her dear friend, Laura Edmondson of Coventry. Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours Thursday 10-11 a.m. at the Spencer Funeral Home, 112 Main St., East Hampton followed by an 11 a.m. Funeral Rite. Burial will follow in the Connecticut State Veteran's Cemetery, Middletown. Friends wishing may send memorial contributions to Recreation and Physical Therapy Department c/o Cobalt Lodge Health Care.
