  • Notes
    • Elizabeth Wickerink was born Nov. 8, 1906, at Belmond, Iowa. She lived here with her parents for two years, at Waupon, Wis., for seven years; at Canby, Minn., for one year, and at Ladysmith, Wis., for one year. In 1918 the family moved to Eagle Grove, Iowa. On Nov. 13, 1923, she was united in marriage to Harvey Long. Two children were born to this union. The first child died in infancy and the second, Betty May, is three months old.
Mrs. Long came to her death by stepping on a rusty nail, which, caused lockjaw, resulting in her death on Aug. 4, 1925, at the age of 18 years, 8 months and 26 days.
She was baptized in the Presbyterian church in infancy.
She leaves to mourn, her husband and infant child, father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. John Wickerink, of Alexander, Iowa, one sister, Mrs. L. J. Olson of Vincent, and two brothers, Harry of Eagle Grove and Edwin J. of Alexander.
Mrs. Long will be remembered by a lot of people in Eagle Grove where she worked for six months in the American Cafe, and for the same length of time in the Broadway Café before her marriage.
Funeral services will be held in the Methodist church on Friday afternoon at 2:30. The sermon will be preached by W . G. Muhleman. Interment will be made in Rose Hill cemetery.
