  James Bernard YOUNG YOUNG, James Bernard - After a lengthy battle with cancer Jim Young died peacefully at his home in Powassan on Tuesday, November 13, 2007 in his 65th year. Jim Young was the beloved husband of Irene (Purdon) of Powassan. He was the loving father of Carol Tofflemire (Dean) of Sundridge, Bernadette Young (Dwayne Drover) of Wasaga Beach, and Wayne Young (Lorraine) of Bradford; Grandfather of Charlie and Eddie Tofflemire and Michaella and Brett Young. Jim was the dear brother of Theresa Miller (Bob, deceased), Lyle Young (Theresa), the late Lloyd Young (Shirley), Phillis McKenna, Mina Corcoran (Girard, deceased), Kalvin Young (Beverley), Stephen Young (Gail), Frank Young (Kathy), Veronica McCutcheon (Mark), and Helen Armstrong (Paul), and brother-in-law of Trudy McAuliffe (Tom), the late Diane Piper (Harvey), David Purdon (Mary-Ann) and Paula Purdon-Graham (Bruce). The Young family will receive visitors at the Trout Creek Community Centre on Saturday, November 17, 2007 from 12:00 to 4:00 pm for a celebration of Jim's life. Cremation has taken place.
