    • ARCADIA ? Kenneth Morris Dolph, 76, died Saturday, April 29, 2006, at his home.
      He was born in Gilmore Township on June 1, 1929, the son of Norris and Frankie Dolph. Ken served in the United States Air Force for 21 years, also participating in the Korean War. He was a member of the Eagles and American Legion Post No 221.
      Ken was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed all aspect of being outdoors, such as feeding and watching the birds and deer, camping or RVing, and in his younger years he snowmobiled. He was also an automobile collector. He served on the Elberta Parks and Recreation committee. Ken was known to have a great sense of humor.
      Surviving is his most treasured companion of 16 years, Fern Plant; five children, Debbie A. (James) Juergens, Dixie A. Dolph, Billie J. (William) Hughes, Donald W. (Deena) Dolph and Donna L. Roberts; 12 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; siblings, Duane (Jane) Dolph, Pat (Gordon) Danke, Maudie (Charles) Anderson and Sanda (Jack) Willsey; sister-in-law, Anna Dolph; four step-children, Roger, Kim, Brian and Lisa; numerous nieces and nephews; extended family, Lee and Dawn Plant; Debi and the late Herman Grostick; Carol and Dave Johnson; Sue (Gary) McPherson; Sherry and Jerome Snyder; Diane Oatley and Rich; and Amy Bower.
      He was preceded in death by his brother, Douglas, and nephew, Carl Anderson.
      Visitation will be Wednesday, May 3, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Benzonia Chapel of McElduff-Jowett Funeral Homes.
      Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 4, at the funeral home, with Rev. Robert McLaughlin officiating. Burial will be in Blaine Twp. Cemetery.
      Those desiring may make contributions to the Elberta Parks and Recreation.
      The Benzonia Chapel of McElduff-Jowett Funeral Homes; Cremation Service is handling the arrangements.
