    • Lydia Becker, 88, of Pompton Plains, formerly of Jefferson Township, passed away on May 2, 2016.
      Born in Bronx, NY, Lydia was the daughter of the late Stephen and Lydia Jencsik. She married Henry A. Becker in 1946 and the couple shared 63 years together before his passing in 2009. Lydia lived in Saddle Brook and New Milford before settling in Jefferson, and later retired to Cedar Crest Village in 2008. She loved to spend summers in Manchester, NJ and winters in Florida, as well as travelling and going on cruises. She was a strong woman who handled everything with grace, and especially loved her family.
      Lydia is survived by her sons, Henry and his wife Susan and Karl and his wife Susan; her daughter, Barbara List; 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Henry, and her daughter, Lydia Becker-Matero.
      A memorial service will be held 10:30 am on June 11, 2016 in the Garden Room at Mountainview Gardens, Cedar Crest Village in Pompton Plains.
