  MABEL HALPIN...Twin Falls...Former Idaho Falls resident Mabel Halpin 91, of Twin Falls died Sept. 24, 1985 at St Benedict's Long Term Care Center at Jerome following a long illness. She was born Oct 5, 1893 at Pittsfield, Illinois. She married G.R. (Jim) Halpin in 1916 at Springfield, Illinois. She and her husband moved to Gooding and then later to Twin falls, where they operated a grocery store for several years. She was a board member of the YMCA for many years and a member of the United Methodist church. In 1959, they moved to Idaho Falls where they lived until she returned to Twin Falls following the death of her husband in 1972. She is survived by two daughters, Marjorie Summerfield, Twin Falls: and Mrs. Dorothy Elliott, Nampa; two sons, Richard Halpin, Idaho Falls; and George Halpin, Fullterton, California; 21 grandchildren; and 27 great0grandchildren. She was proceded in death by two brothers and three sisters. Funeral services and burial were held Friday in Twin Falls. The Post Register, Idaho Falls, Idaho, Sunday September 29, 1985.
