Notes |
- Paquita was born October 28, 1923 in Susanville, California to Victoria (Lekunberri) Murillo and Martin Murillo of the Basque Country in Spain. She was the third child in the family succeeding Frank Murillo and Margaret Murillo (Descalzo).
She graduated from Lassen Union High School in 1942 and helped her mother and her stepfather, Joseph Zalba run their Basque boarding house in Susanville.
She attended Beauty School in Reno and worked as a beautician for a number of years and then shifted gears to work as a directory assistance operator for Nevada Bell. While working there, friends introduced her to her future husband Robert "Bob" Hadlock.
She gave birth and raised two lovely, healthy daughters, Robin and Nancy. The three of them fished, hunted and camped throughout Nevada.
Her oldest daughter blessed her with four grandchildren, Cassandra Morton, Samantha Brasher (Kyle), Robert Hessler, Andrea Hessler and one great granddaughter Natalee Brasher.
On July 23rd, 2011 she rejoined her sister, brother and parents in Paradise.
