    • Tolland County CT Archives History .....Town Poor In Hebron Selectmen's Records, 1888-1891 1888
      Sept. 30, 1891: Hebron to Salem. Walter E. Banning's wife is sick, and the doctor thinks she should go to the hospital for a few weeks. There are a number of little children who may need help.
      Oct. 7, 1891: Hebron to Salem. Walter Banning, his wife Rosa & 4 children (Frederick, ae 8; Florence, ae 5; Frank, ae 3; B. Mary, ae 1 year 5 months) are on expense. Mrs. Banning was taken to Hartford hospital yesterday.
      Oct. 8, 1891: Salem to Hebron. Walter Banning is not an inhabitant of Salem; I think he belongs to Chatham or somewhere in that vicinity.
      Oct. 20, 1891: Hebron to Lyme. Notification that Walter Banning and family were on expense.

      Oct. 13, 1892: Hebron to Salem. Walter E. Banning, his wife Rosa, and children (Frederick, ae 9; Florence, ae 6; Frank, ae 4; B. May, ae 2) are on expense. They have been evicted out of the house they lived in this summer. Mrs. Banning is about to be confined.
      Oct. 27, 1894: Hebron to Salem. Walter E. Banning, wife Rosa, & children (Frederick, ae 11; Florence, ae 8; Frank, ae 6; Mabel, ae 2) are on expense. We are thinking of having the children committed to the children's home in Vernon.
