  • Notes
    • Roy Paschal Head was born September 18, 1928, in Phenix City, Alabama.
He passed away on July 6, 2015.
Preceded in death by his brother, Charles.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, June Ann Head; two sons, Michael R. Head and David Head; two daughters, April Ritchie and Janie Morrison; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Roy attended art school for three years at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York. Following graduation he worked in advertising art in the New York City and Washington, D.C., areas.
He served four years in the U.S. Air Force.
Shortly after receiving an honorable discharge from the Air Force, he relocated to Arizona on doctors' advice due to rheumatoid arthritis. He established his own commercial art business in Phoenix, Arizona, and served as president of the Phoenix Art Directors Club.
Roy loved to watch and play sports. In high school he played basketball and baseball and later became an avid golfer while playing with Karsten Solheim, inventor of the Ping golf clubs, at the Moon Valley Country Club in Phoenix. He also loved classical music, art, and astronomy, but the greatest love of his life was his loving wife, June.
A celebration of his life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2015, in the chapel on the northeast campus of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church.
Arrangements by Adair Funeral Homes, Avalon Chapel, Tucson, Arizona.
