J. Dierkhising Dies In Edmonton
MAYERTHORPE - Funeral services were held in St. Agnes' Roman Catholic Church, Mayerthorpe, Feb. 26 for Joseph Dierkhising, 21, of Ardmore who was fatally injured in a railway crossing accident on Feb. 19. He died in Edmonton's University Hospital Feb. 20.
He had been a resident of the Mayerthorpe district until last year when he moved to the Bonnyville district.
Father Terry of Whitecourt and Father Prefontaine of Mayerthorpe conducted the service. Interment was in Mayerthorpe Cemetery.
Pallbearers were his cousins: Darryl Dierkhising, Henry, Frank, William and Leonard Starman and brother-in-law, Daryl Barth.
He leaves to mourn his loss his loving wife Beverly and two daughters Cora Anne, one year old, and Donna Marie born Feb. 25; his mother Mrs. Kathleen Dierkhising; one brother, Danny of Ardmore and one sister Elaine, Mrs. Paul Collins of Fort Kent.
