    KELLEY, Thomas Robert- Age 47, of Linden, died Sunday, August 2, 2015. Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, August 8, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Visitation will be held 6 - 8 PM Friday and 10 AM until the time of the service Saturday. In lieu of flower, those desiring may make contributions to Tyler Kelley Memorial Fund c/o First Merit Bank.
    Thomas was born May 1, 1968 in Flint, the son of Tom and Carolyn (Wellever) Kelley. He was a 1987 graduate of Linden High School. He was a truck driver. Thomas enjoyed supporting his son Tyler's travel soccer team, "Bolton 360." He was an avid fisher and hunter and loved being on the water.
    Thomas is survived by his son, Tyler; mother, Carolyn R. Kelley; Father, Tom Kelley; brothers, Tim (Angie) Kelley, Troy Kelley; step-son, Steven Michaels. He is also survived by Lynda Kelley and long time friend, Pat Glover.

  1. 6.  Robert Charles WelleverRobert Charles Wellever was born on 14 Apr 1925 in Battle Creek, Michigan, USA (son of Harold Charles Wellever and Crystal Almira Pennock); died on 3 Jun 2010 in Holland, Michigan, USA; was buried in Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, Kalamazoo County, Michigan, USA.

    Notes:

    Passed away June 3rd in Holland. Born April 14th, 1925, in Battle Creek to Herold and Crystal Wellever, he was the eldest of three siblings with sisters, Ruth and Reed Nelson of Battle Creek, and Jean Blanck of Reed City. Bob graduated from Battle Creek Central in 1943, and immediately joined the Army Air Corps where he became a pilot of P-51 Mustang fighter planes. He was married to his wife of 65 years, Barbara (Brattain), February 23rd, 1945 while still in the service. Upon discharge from the Air Corp as a First Lieutenant, Bob attended Western Michigan College of Education (WMU) where he earned a Bachelors of Science degree in February, of 1950. He graduated on Sunday and started work Monday at Fenton High School, where he taught Physics and Chemistry for 35 .5 years. He received his Masters of Physics and Chemistry from the University of Detroit and many honors and awards during his career. During summer breaks, Bob ran a painting business, maintaining homes businesses and schools around Fenton. He was particularly known for painting the adjacent steeples of the Episcopal and Presbyterian Churches, often while the pastor prayed below.
    Bob enjoyed outdoor pursuits, camping, fishing, canoeing and hiking along with photography and chess. An avid skier into his mid-seventies, he made many trips to Colorado, Canada and northern Michigan. After retiring in 1985, Bob and Barb traveled to Ecuador to visit the family of their 1967 exchange student son, Max Samaniego. They also traveled through Europe and visited their 1978 exchange student son Nick Hayoz, in Switzerland. They moved to Allegan in the fall of 1985 and built a home near their son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Kathi. They became active in Christ Community Church and Bob volunteered many hours, building the new church. His love of trout fishing led him to become involved with the Kalamazoo Valley Chapter of Trout Unlimited. He participated in many outings and projects, and donated guided trips to his favorite stream, the Yellowdog. Along with his diverse knowledge, he was known for his subtle humor and quick wit. Bob is survived by his wife, Barbara; daughter, Carolyn and Thomas Kelley of Fenton; sons, Bill and Susan Wellever of CA and Jim and Kathryn Wellever of Allegan; grandsons, Thomas, Timothy and Troy Kelley, Patrick, Jacob and Emery Wellever; great grandsons, Tyler and Tanner Kelley; also his 2 sisters, and numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Graveside services will be held at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Monday, June 14th, at 10:00 AM. Those wishing to attend should arrive at Gorden's Funeral Home, Allegan, by 8:45 AM or at the cemetery cortege area at 9:45 AM. Memorial services will be held at Christ Community Church, Allegan, at 1:00 PM, with reception to follow.     Barbara L. Wellever Allegan Barbara L. Wellever of Allegan, formerly of Fenton, died Friday, March 11, 2011, at the Allegan County Medical Care Facility. Mrs. Wellever was born July 27, 1924, in Jackson, the daughter of Durman "Patrick" and Ruth (Sturgis) Brattain. Barb was a member of the Christ Community Church in Allegan, the B.P.W. of Allegan and Fenton, Women's History Club, and active AFS. She retired from Fenton Public Schools in 1985, after 30 years of service. Surviving are her 3 children: Carolyn and Thomas Kelley of Fenton, William and Susan Wellever of CA, and James and Kathryn Wellever of Allegan; 6 grandsons: Thomas, Timothy, Troy, Patrick, Jacob and Emery; 2 great-grandsons: Tyler and Tanner; sister-in-law, Jean Blanck of Reed City; brother-in-law, Reed Nelson of Battle Creek; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert in 2010, and her sister-in-law, Ruth Nelson. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2011 at 10 a.m., at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta. Those wishing to attend should arrive at the Gorden Funeral Home by 8:45 a.m., or at the Cemetery cortege area by 9:45 a.m. Memorial services will be held at Christ Community Church in Allegan at 1 p.m., with a visitation time from 12 noon until service time, with a reception to follow.Due to Barb's long battle with heart disease,In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First Congregational Church, C/O The Quinn Fund, 145 Capital Ave. NE, Battle Creek, MI 49017. This is Barb's great-great-niece, Millie Kay Quinn, who was born March 10, 2011, one day before Barb died. She was born with Critical Pulmonary Stenosis.
