Roe S. Riley, 55, of Cayuga Rd., Town of Aurelius, died unexpectedly at his home Sunday morning.
Born in Cayuga, he had resided in Aurelius for the past 20 years. He was a son of the late Scott S. and Lucy Shepard Wiley. Mr. Wiley had operated a garage in the Village of Cayuga since 1937. He was a member of the Cayuga Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Marian Benham Wiley of Cayuga; one daughter, Mrs. Marianne Haight of Union Springs; one brother, Seth S. Wiley of Geneva; four grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Lester Brew Funeral Home, Rev. Paul H. Kirkpatrick, pastor of the Cayuga Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Cayuga.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Friends wishing may contribute to the Cayuga Methodist Memorial Fund in memory of Mr. Wiley.

Marian Benham Downey, 90, formerly of Union Springs, died Thursday at Auburn Memorial Hospital.
Born in Auburn, she lived in Aurelius before moving to Union Springs. She attended Throop and Springport schools and Auburn Business School. She also completed a nursing course. She and her family operated a dairy farm in Throop and Aurelius for many years. She also worked as a home health aide and at Union Springs Hardware Co. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Union Springs, and the Springport Senior Citizens Club.
Her first husband, Roe S. Wiley, died in 1962. Her second husband, Edmund L. Downey, also died previously.
Survivors: A daughter, Marianne Wiley of Union Springs; two sisters, G. Arlene Pinckney of Cayuga and Ruth B. Hares of Scipio; a brother, Paul K. Benhem Sr. of Auburn; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Services: 1 p.m. Dec. 21 in Trinity United Church of Christ. Burial, Cayuga Cemetery. No calling hours. Langham Funeral Home, Auburn, has arrangements.
Contributions: Union Springs Fire Department Ambulance Fund.
