FOSTER, Vera Elizabeth (nee Buchan) Peacefully at Stoneridge Manor, Carleton Place, Ontario on Tuesday, April 19, 2011, in her 95th year. Dear wife of the late J. Boyd Foster. Beloved Mom of Jim (Lynda). Treasured Granny of Greg, Erin Powell (Shawn), Mark (Katie Lewis) and Melinda. Cherished Great-Granny of James, Liam, Cole, Jacob, Grace, Evan and Avaleigh Vera. Dear sister of Florence Weber (Dewaine), Isabel Crampton (the late Garfield Crampton & the late Gordon Mackey), Jean Scott (the late Arthur Stewart & the late Clarence Scott), Eunice Richardson (Rev. Dr. George), Donald Buchan (Marjory), the late Harold Buchan and his wife the late Lottie and the late Lois Morrow (Norman-surviving). Dear sister-in-law of Elmer (Joyce) and the late Carl (Ruth Fife-surviving), the late Eric (Audrey-surviving), the late Edna Yuill (late Guy) and the late Melvin (Elizabeth Closs- surviving). Friends may call at the Alan R. Barker Funeral Home, 19 McArthur Ave., Carleton Place on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday after 1 p.m. Funeral service to follow in the chapel at 2 p.m. Interment at United Cemeteries later in the Spring. Donations in memory of Vera to the Carleton Place Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
