| Willis Hartman Willis Lloyd Hartman, 88, oil producer, horse breeder, and polo player, of 1001 North Rock Road. Began his career with Gulf Oil Corporation in Tulsa. Later he and his son Ralph formed the Lonita Oil Company. Around World War II he bought 1700 acres of land just east of Wichita. All but 160 acres of that land was eventually sold and taken into the city. The 160 acres was known as Hartmoor Farms and included two polo fields. Hartman was active in polo from 1928 until last March, and he was founder of the Fairfield Polo Club. Survived by his son, Ralph, of Wichita. Entombment in Old Mission Mausoleum.
