Edward William LaCroix III, 42, of Essex, died March 9 at his home. He was born in New Haven on June 30, 1967, son of Edward W. LaCroix, Jr., and Marcia (Brockway) LaCroix. He was a graduate of Xavier High School and had attended the University of Hartford.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his sister Denise Cormier of Clinton, his niece and nephew Kaitlyn and Keith Russell of Old Saybrook, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as his beloved friends. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Russell Brockway and Annette (DeSanto) Brockway and by his paternal grandparents Edward W., Sr., and Jeanette LaCroix.
A funeral Mass was held on March 13 at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Essex. Burial was in Centerbrook Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ed's favorite charity.
