- Dearly beloved husband of Vae (nee Harper) in his 94th year, passed away peacefully in his sleep in the early morning of Friday, August 8, 2014. Predeceased by parents Florence and Adam Rankin and brothers Andrew and Erskine. Ken shared 62 years of love and laughter with his kind and caring wife. Father to Heather (David McKellar), Blake (Eileen Maltinsky) and Steve (Kim). Grandfather to Alison (Kevin Breen), Kenneth (Wendy McKellar), Jodi-Lyne, Brittany, Norah and Jamie Rankin. Great grandfather to Joey and Lexi McKellar. Many thanks to CCAC, DVA, Carefore, St. Elizabeth, Bayshore Agency Staff and to the wonderful love and understanding of the congregational family of St. Timothy?s Presbyterian Church and the minister Rev. Don Collar. Visitation at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road, on Sunday, August 10 from 7 -9 pm and at St. Timothy?s Church, 2400 Alta Vista Drive, on Monday, August 11 from 10 ? 11 am. Funeral Service on Monday, August 11 at 11 am at St. Timothy?s Church followed by a reception. Interment will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the War Amps of Canada.
