- Merklee Lewis, age 88, died Monday, May 18, 2009. He was born November 2, 1920 in Bath, NY, the son of Chester and Eva Lewis. He attended Haverling High School. He was a self-employed farmer all of his life in the Prattsburg area. He was a loving father and a good friend to a great many people.
He is survived by his daughter, Linda (Darrell) Rice of Avoca, NY; two sons, Dale (Karen) Lewis of Waterloo, NY and Douglas (Hazel) Lewis of Penn Yan, NY; grandchildren, Wayne and Kamale Rice, Annisa Dieter, Stephen and Sabrina Lewis; brother, Erwin Lewis of Bath, NY; and sister, Betty (Jerry) Ballou of Houston, Texas.
Calling Hours are being observed Friday, May 22, 2009 from 6:00 to 7:00 PM at the Bond-Davis Funeral Home of Bath. Funeral Service will be held at the conclusion of Calling Hours at 7:00 PM. Tony Yacuzzo officiating.
Donations may be made to the Bath Congregation of Jehovah?s Witnesses in Merklee?s memory.
