- Mr. Jackson was a coal miner. He also was a former chief for the Marissa Volunteer Fire Department and was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Ada, nee Clark, Jackson; and a son, Kent Jackson.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia A., nee Wardner, Jackson; two sons, Kevin (Pamala) Jackson of Yukon, Oklahoma and Mark Jackson of Marissa, Illinois; three sisters, Joanne Farris of Beech Grove, Kentucky, Marilyn Jackson of Bluford, Illinois and Wanetta (Robert) Phillips of Anna, Illinois; three brothers, Bruce (Patty) Jackson of Bluford, Illinois, Larry (Carol) Jackson of Ina, Illinois and Robert Jackson of Bluford, Illinois; and one grandchild.
