  • Notes
    • Ellen Rae Dean, 67, passed away from Alzheimer?s disease Sept. 4, 2015.
With this final chapter, she is reunited with her parents and other loved ones who have gone before her.
The world has lost a beautiful, caring human being. She was truly an angel on earth to all who knew her. She loved all people; but, had a very tender heart for the elderly and for children. She also dearly loved animals?especially dogs?and will be reunited with her beloved black lab, Casey.
Her most precious possession, however, was her family. She would do anything, at any time, to help someone in need.
You taught us to laugh? even when we wanted to cry. You taught us to be strong? although, at times, it seemed difficult?even impossible?to go forward. You showed us that there is hope in desperation, happiness in sorrow, and serenity in the midst of turmoil. You taught us that there is good in everything. Most importantly, you taught us to love? truly and unconditionally without fear and without boundaries. You were one of those rare individuals who made everyone who was fortunate enough to know you better for having known you.
You will be dearly missed by all who loved you. You took with you a piece of all of our hearts; but, left us with a lifetime of loving memories. There are not words to thank you enough for always, somehow, giving more than you could give. Though we mourn your loss, we can rejoice in knowing that you are, finally, where you deserve to be? spending eternity with Jesus and with the loved ones who went before you. We will carry with us your loving memory as long as we are here on earth; and we are blessed knowing that, one day, we will see you again in heaven.
Dear God, thank you for letting us enjoy her here on Earth. Please, take her in Your arms and give her peace.
Ellen is survived by her husband of 48 years, Wayne; sons, Michael (Theresa) and Mark (Kimberly); grandchildren, Matthew (Heather), Spencer, Ashley, Lucas, Macee, Amanda, Luke, Justin, Molly, Anna and Leah; great-grandchildren, A.J. and Jordan; sisters, Ruthann and Diann; mother-in-law, Janet; brothers-in-law, Gordon (Carol), David and Leslie; and sisters-in-law, Delores and Barbara.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer?s Foundation.
      Cox Funeral Home handled arrangements.
