L.P. Dobbs
DOBBS, Leonard Percival (L.P.) - Mr. Dobbs died peacefully on Sunday, October 1, 2000 at Eastholme, Powassan, in his 88th year. L.P. Dobbs was the beloved husband of the late Laura Agnes (McConnell) and was the loving father of Sheila Mannella (the late Frank) of Sault Ste. Marie, Murray Dobbs (Ann) of Golden Valley, Bryon Dobbs (Irene) of Powassan, Pauline Beatty (John) of Nipissing, Paul Dobbs (Dona) of Arnstein, the late Stewart Dobbs, and Rhonda Burnett (Jamie) of Callander. He was the proud grandfather of 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. L.P. was the dear brother of Gertrude Badgely-Davidson, Stratford. He was predeceased by his parents, Caroline Hart-Shortland and John William Dobbs and by his brothers Ralph, Fred, George, Arnold and Herb Dobbs and sisters Laura Currie, Mae Cunning-
ton, Frances Forrest, Lillian Garton, Bertha Leavoy and Emily Shaughnessy. The family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home in Powassan ( 724-2024 ) today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and at St. Paul's United Church, Golden Valley on Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Argyle Lion's Club Tribute Service at 11 a.m. in the church. The Powassan Masonic Lodge #443 will conduct a memorial service in the Paul Funeral Home this evening at 7 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted in the St. Paul's United Church on Thursday at 1 p.m. Interment at St. Paul's Cemetery, Golden Valley. If desired donations may be made to St. Paul's United Church, Golden Valley.
