    Leonard Earl Munro, born in Duval, SK April 21, 1915. Left to mourn his passing is his loving wife of 69 years Isabel. His children Gary (Gladys) Munro of Calgary, AB; Anne (Keith) James of Prince Albert, SK. His grandchildren Debbie (Wally) Niblett of Edmonton, AB; Cheryl (Fabian) Rush of Edmonton, AB; Robert (Shannon) James of Sherwood Park, AB; Tyler (Michelle) James of Edmonton, AB; Andrew (Kristi) James of Saskatoon, SK. His Great Grandchildren Amanda & Kerri Niblett, Alex & Samantha Rush, Keisha & Cole James and Jessica & Nicole James. His sister Jen Hanson of Calgary, AB. Len was pre-deceased by his father Jacob, mother Ester and brothers James and Orville. Len moved to Prince Albert in 1937 and married Isabel McComb in 1938. He and his father opened J. Munro & Sons Implements Ltd. selling Case machinery. In 1952 they took on the Studebaker dealership until 1966 when they owned the Datson Franchise, later to be known as Munro Nissan Ltd. Len and Isabel enjoyed the 40's, 50's and 60's at their shack tent in Waskesiu moving to Candle Lake in 1968, where they spent many enjoyable hours playing cards with their friends. Len was active in the Cosmopolitan Club of Prince Albert. He was a loyal Raider fan, listening to every game when he was unable to attend. Len spent his last two years in Pineview Terrace Lodge where he received kind and loving care. Len will be remembered by his family for his unconditional love and support. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2008, 1:00 p.m. at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, 130 - 9th St. East, 306-763-8488. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Pineview Family Auxiliary.

    Isabel Munro (nee McComb), born in Grandview Manitoba, April 20, 1917.Passed away Edmonton, AB October 12, 2013. It is with great sadness that our beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great grandmother passed away at her home, Holyrood Extendicare in Edmonton on Saturday October 12 with her family at her side. Left to mourn her passing are her children Gary (Gladys) Munro of Edmonton, AB; Anne (Keith) James of Sherwood Park, AB. Her grandchildren Debbie (Wally) Niblett of Edmonton, AB; Cheryl (Fabian) Rush of Edmonton, AB; Robert (Shannon) James of Sherwood Park, AB; Tyler (Michelle) James of Sherwood Park, AB; Andrew (Kristi) James of Saskatoon, SK. Her Great Grandchildren Amanda & Kerri Niblett, Alex & Samantha Rush, Keisha & Cole James, Jessica & Nicole James, Lucas & Logan James. Isabel was pre-deceased by her loving husband Leonard in 2008. Len and Isabel were married in 1938 in Prince Albert, SK. Isabel spent many years working with her husband as a bookkeeper/secretary first with J. Munro and Sons Case implement dealership and for their Studebaker dealership in 1952 then when they took over the Datsun Franchise in 1966 (later to be known as Munro Nissan Ltd). Len and Isabel enjoyed the 40?s, 50?s and 60?s at their shack tent in Waskesiu moving to Candle Lake in 1968, where they spent many enjoyable hours playing cards with friends and watching their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren play. Isabel spent every holiday cooking delicious meals for her family up to the age of 90, when she moved to the Good Shepherd in Prince Albert, SK. She later moved to Sherwood Park, AB where she spent a year in Summerwood Senior Living and the last few years at Extendicare Holyrood facility in Edmonton, AB. Isabel will be remembered by her family for her unconditional love and support. A memorial service will be held in summer 2014 when she will be laid to rest with her husband in Prince Albert, SK. The family would like to thank the staff at Holyrood for their kindness and care over the last few years. They would especially like to thank Kelly (Director of Extendicare Holyrood) for her care and compassion.

    MUNRO - Esther Anne Munro passed away peacefully August 26, 1986 at the Outlook and District Pioneer Home, Outlook, Sask. Mrs. Munro was born February 8, 1894 at Centreville, South Dakota, and came to Saskatchewan with her parents at the age of three years. She had resided at various points in Saskatchewan, most recently at Regina and Outlook. Predeceased by her husband, one son, three sisters, and two brothers, she will be sadly missed by one daughter, Jen (Alf) Hanson of Outlook; two sons Leonard (Isabel) of Prince Albert and Orvel of Saskatoon; one sister, Gertrude Bain; and one brother Edward (Rose) Hufsmith both of Vancouver; nine grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren; and a host of friends. The funeral service will be held on Friday, August 29 at 2:00 p.m. from Westwood Funeral Chapel, Ave. N. and 20th Street conducted by Mr. Willis Propp, Mr. D. Shultz and Mr. Ron Hanson. Flowers are gratefully declined. Interment will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery. Arrangements are in care of Westwood Funeral Chapel.
