Peacefully at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital on Saturday, October 22, 2016. Annie Fife-Oulton, one day short of her 97th birthday. Beloved wife of the late James Fife and Ralph Oulton. Loving mom of Maurice (Ruth) Fife, Maureen (Francis) Ives, Dawna (Gary) Hoy, Dennis (Mary) Fife, Arlene (George) Bryan and the late Mervyn Fife and daughter-in-law Doris Fife. Cherished grandma of 16 grandchildren, 29 great- grandchildren and one great-great- grandchild. Dear sister of Glenn, Marjorie, Urbane, Murray; and predeceased by June, John, Evelene, Elva, Wilma and Muriel. Aunt of many nieces and nephews. Survived by her stepchildren Arthur Oulton, Betty Turner, late Elaine Girling, Peggy Fiorentino, Susan McNulty and their families. Annie will rest at the Byers Funeral Home, 2990 Church Street, South Mountain (613-989-3836) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, October 25, 2016 and then to the Chesterville Legion, 167 Queen Street, from noon until time of Funeral Service on Wednesday, October 26 at 1 p.m. Interment Maple Ridge Cemetery. By family request donations may be made to the Osgoode Care Centre or the Maple Ridge Cemetery Fund.

A happy event took place at the home of Mr. Jacob Price's on Wednesday at three o'clock p.m., when his daughter Mary (Price), was married to Mr. Thomas Fife, of McDonald's Corners. Rev. F. Miller performed the ceremony in the presence of about forty guests. The couple were ably assisted by the bride's sister, Marion, who wore a pretty dress of white muslin trimmed with valentine lace and insertion and Mr. Roy McDonald, nephew of the groom. The bride wore a handsome dress of cream eolinine trimmed with allover lace and silk insertion. Mr. and Mrs. Fife left next day for their farm home at McDonald's Corners, the bride travelling in a gown of grey cloth with allover lace waist over white silk.

He was in his 79th year and was the son of the late Ira Price and Margaret Prettie and was born in Darling Twp. He was married to Esther Munroe of Darling, who predeceased him seven years ago. He leaves three sisters and one brother; Annie (Mrs. Albert Vardy) in Alberta; Margaret (Mrs. Foster) of Kingston; Maria of Picton; Alex. of Brancroft and Ira in Alberta. There are also his seven daughters and three sons; Maggie (Mrs. Rutherford) Unity SK; Lizzie (Mrs. Lambe) Winnipeg; Mary (Mrs. Thomas Sise) of McDonald's Corners; Marion (Mrs. Stewart Gunn) of Tatlock; Alice (Mrs. Milton McKay) and Jean (Mrs. Ernest Foste) of Clayton; Lila (Mrs. Alex Munro) of Almonte; Jacob and Ira of Saskatchewan; Thomas on the homestead at Clayton. Two children died in infancy and Esther died in Winnipeg in 1905; while Hugh died 14 years ago. Burial in Clayton Cemetery.

Esther (Munro) Price :1916

Mrs. Jacob Price, Sr., of Galbraith, mention of whose sudden death was made last week, was born on Sept. 9th, 1851. Mrs. Price's death was caused by heart failure. She was seemingly in good health until within a few hours of her death. Her maiden name was Esther Munro, and she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Munro of Darling. In 1873 she was married to Mr. Jacob Price, and to them fourteen children were born, two of whom died in infancy, and Hugh A., died in Feb. 1914, and Mrs. Wm. Lyons (Esther) in Aug 1905. Those who are still living are: Mrs. Sandy Rutherford (Margaret Jane), Unity, Sask.; Mrs. Edmond R. Lambe (Elizabeth C.), Shoal Lake, Man.; Mrs. Thomas Fife (Mary), McDonald's Corners, Ont.; Mrs. Milton McKay (Alice L.), Middleville, Ont.; Mrs. Alex Munro (Delilah), Hall's Mills, Ont.; Mrs. Ernest Foster, (Jeanie), Galbraith, Ont.; Messrs: Jacob and Ira Price, Sonningdale, Sask.; Mr. Thomas Price, on the old home at Galbraith; Miss Marion Price at home. Rev. Mr. Currie, Baptist minister, from Lanark, preached, assisted by Rev. Mr. Merrilees. The flowers were a beautiful spray from the family. Mrs. Price was a member of the W.M.S., and was always a faithful attendant when possible, and was always ready to lend a helping hand in any good cause. She will be missed in that as well as in many other ways.
