    Notes:

    John M. Ledden, died at his home on Willsboro Point, NY, after a short illness, on October 23, 2006. He was born in St. Albans, VT January 3, 1925, the son of Harold and Anna Ledden. He was educated in St. Albans and Seton Hall Prep and College in New Jersey. After serving 3 1/2 years in the Marines in the South Pacific, he returned to the States and married Elizabeth Des Jardins, July 3, 1949. They raised their family in New Rochelle, NY. For over 20 years John was the Sales Manager for Sentinel Oil Company located in New Rochelle. In 1983 he and his wife retired to Willsboro, NY.
    John is survived by his wife, Betty; six children and spouses, Janet and Phil Schwetz, James Ledden, Richard and Patrice Ledden, Robert and Nancy Ledden, Daniel and Suzanne Ledden and Maureen Ledden Arnold; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and Sister Mary Ledden CND.
    He was predeceased by his parents; a brother, Howard Ledden; and a sister, Margaret Marceau.
    A Funeral Mass was held at St. Philip's Church in Willsboro at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, 2006, with the Rev. Scott Seymour officiating.
    The family has requested in lieu of flowers donations in his memory be made to the Willsboro Rescue Squad, Willsboro, New York or St. Philip's Church.
    Huestis Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

    Notes:

    Long time New Rochelle resident, Betty Ledden, passed away early Saturday morning, November 5, 2016. She died peacefully, after a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease. Elizabeth Jane DesJardins was born August 28, 1926 in Plattsburgh, NY and was the daughter of Albert and Margaret DesJardins. She grew up in Eastchester and graduated from Our Lady of Good Counsel College in White Plains. She was a very well respected elementary school teacher for many years in New Rochelle. Betty was happily married to John Ledden (who predeceased her) for more than 57 years and was mother to 6 children, 12 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
    She is survived by her children; Janet Schwetz and husband Phil; Jim; Rich and wife, Pat (Cantarella); Bob and wife, Nancy (D'Onofrio); Dan and wife, Suzanne (Austin); and Maureen Arnold. Her grandchildren are Kim Conca, Cathleen Marzullo, Michael Schwetz, Jim Carter, Diana Martin, Katrina Dunn, Brian Ledden, Jake Ledden, Kelly Brusco, Amy Ledden, CJ and Cody Arnold.
    A memorial service will be held at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel Inc., 16 Shea Place in New Rochelle on Tuesday, November 8th, from 11:00 am till 1:00 pm.
