Dr. Dudley Davis Kimpton, 90, of Wadsworth passed away peacefully on Wednesday April 30, 2014. He was born February 15, 1924 in Akron to the late Walter B. and Anna Kimpton.
Mr. Kimpton was a very smart man, he was the Valedictorian for all of Summit County, graduated from Case Western University and received his PhD from the University of Illinois. He was retired from PPG and had also been a chemistry teacher. Dudley was a very kind man and will be dearly missed by his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine L. (Durbrow) Kimpton.
Dudley is survived by his children, Paul (Anita) Kimpton, and Pamela (Robert) Crouch; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Debra, Karen and Thomas; and six great grandchildren.
Private services have been held for the family.

Katherine D. Kimpton, 85, of Wadsworth passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2009.
Born April 14, 1924 in Duluth, Mn. to the late George and Hazel Durbrow.
Preceded in death by her brother, George Durbrow.
Mrs. Kimpton is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Dudley D. Kimpton; daughter, Pamela (Bob) Crouch of Wadsworth; son, Paul (Anita) Kimpton of Kent; grandchildren, Jenny Just of Wadsworth, Karen (Mark) Warner of Louisville, Debby Just of Barberton, and Tommy Kimpton; and five great-grandchildren, Ralph, Armond, Bain, Anthony, and Tommy.
Funeral services will be conducted 10:30 A.M. Saturday at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth with Pastor Robert Combs officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10 to 10:30 Saturday at the funeral home. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery.
