Robert G Fockler, age 74, of Owosso, formerly of Lansing, passed away Wednesday December 18, 2002, at the V.A. Medical Center in Battle Creek.
Mr. Fockler was an electrician at Melling Forging Company.
Funeral service will be held at Nelson-House Funeral Home, Friday, December 20, 11 a.m. with Mr. Alex McClelland officiating. Burial will be at Ridge Road Cemetery, Oakley. Visitation at the funeral home will be today from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Mr. Fockler was born March 13, 1928, in Ionia County, the son of Charles J. and Mildred (Rich) Fockler. He and Virginia Miller were married February 7, 1976, in Lansing.
He was' a medic in the Army during World War, II and the Korean War.
Survivors include his daughter, Candy K. and grandson, Dustin Gene; four sisters, Beulah Minor, Joyce (Gerald) Musser, Irene (Alex) McClelland and Helen (Bill) Lorencz; one brother, Bill (Josephine) Fockler; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Virginia.
