CIOTTI, E. Barney, 82, of Naples, FL., died December 18, 2010 at his residence after being diagnosed with a brain tumor two months ago.
He had been a resident of Naples since 1990 coming from Indianapolis, IN.
Born on July 9, 1928 in Weirton, WV, he was a son of the late Sirio and Jenny (nee Principini) Ciotti. After high school, Barney attended Indiana University and was recalled to the Marine Corps to serve in Korea. After the war, he went back to IU and graduated in 1956 with his Bachelors of Science in Business.
He went on to work for Inland Container Corporation in Indianapolis, IN for 30 years retiring in 1992.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sue L. Ciotti of Naples, FL; daughter, Mary C. Ciotti of Sacramento, CA; son, Robert B. (Sophia) Ciotti of Santa Cruz, CA; two step-daughters, Nancy (John) Kerns of Naples, FL and Karen H. Hopkins of Indianapolis, IN; step-son, Timothy B. Hopkins of Indianapolis, IN; sister, Cookie Vucich of Weirton, WV and four grandchildren, Mia and Neo Ciotti and Hunter and Zachary Hopkins.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Jane (nee Robertson) Ciotti and his brother, Henry Ciotti.
A Celebration of his Life will be held Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at 5 p.m. at Shikany's Bonita Funeral Home 28300 So. Tamiami Tr., Bonita Springs with the Rev. Dr. Bob Wallace, officiating.
A reception for family and friends will follow at Audubon Country Club.
