James W. Seipold

James W. Seipold, 56, passed away on Friday, June 27, 2014 at St. Raphael?s Hospital in New Haven. He was born June 15, 1958, to John W. and Dorothy (Thomas) Seipold. After graduating from West Haven High School in 1977, Jim worked extensively in grocery and retail; Pegnataro?s, Grand Central, Everybody?s and most recently, Xpect Discounts in North Haven. In addition to his parents who reside in Hamden, he is survived by a brother, Paul T. Seipold of East Haven and a nephew, Paul W. Seipold of Branford. A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 7, 2014 at 11am at Oak Grove Cemetery, 770 First Ave., West Haven, CT. The Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden, CT, is in charge of the arrangements.

John married Dorothy S. Thomas. Dorothy (daughter of Raymond West Thomas and Dorothy Sloane Noble) was born on 29 Jul 1923 in West Haven, Connecticut, USA; died on 24 Jan 2016 in Hamden, Connecticut, USA; was buried in Oak Grove Cemetery, West Haven, New Haven County, Connecticut, United States. Dorothy Thomas Seipold, 92, of Hamden died January 24, 2016 of natural causes. The wife of John W. Seipold, also of Hamden, she was a resident of Whitney Manor Rehabilitation Center for the past 8 years. Born July 29, 1923 to the late Raymond and Dorothy (Noble) Thomas of West Haven she lived in that city for over 60 years. A 1940 graduate of West Haven High School she went on to do clerical work for several companies in New Haven including C.S. Mersick and Prudential Insurance. She also performed professionally around CT and NY in swing and polka bands, playing a mean saxophone and clarinet. In later years she held jobs at several retail stores in Hamden and was a member of the Spring Glen United Church of Christ. In addition to her husband of 61 years she leaves behind her son, Paul T. Seipold of Hamden and her grandson, Paul W. Seipold of East Haven. She was predeceased by another son, James Seipold and her brother, Edwin Thomas. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service Friday morning Jan. 29, at 11 am at BEECHER & BENNETT 2300 WHITNEY AVE. HAMDEN, and may visit with her family from 10-11 am before the service. Interment in Oak Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Spring Glen Church, UCC.

Raymond married Dorothy Sloane Noble in 1920. Dorothy was born on 30 Sep 1901 in Connecticut, USA; died on 2 Aug 1983 in West Haven, Connecticut, USA; was buried in Oak Grove Cemetery, West Haven, New Haven County, Connecticut, United States. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Edwin married Eva West Bartholomew in 1883. Eva was born on 20 May 1862 in Connecticut, USA; died on 12 Aug 1937 in Connecticut, USA; was buried in Evergreen Cemetery, New Haven, New Haven County, Connecticut, USA. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
