Jane Maria Rogers

Jane Maria Rogers was a daughter of Erastus Rogers, Jr., and Anna C. Beebe. She married William Day on 5 May 1863, and with him had daughter Anna C. Day on 14 Dec 1865. She was admitted "by letter" in 1866 to the North Lyme 2nd Baptist Church at Pleasant Valley. She later remarried to Niles Seth Rogers (of an entirely different Rogers line) on 21 Jan 1867. She then asked for a letter to transfer to the Congregational Church at Grassy Hill, Lyme, Connecticut. Niles and Jane had two sons: Joseph (or Irwin) in 1870 and Ernest Edwin Rogers in 1872. With her husband being a blind Civil War veteran, she must have had a heavy burden until he died in 1899. Jane married William Henry Day on 5 Aug 1863 in East Haddam, Connecticut, USA, and was divorced before 1869. William was born on 26 Feb 1840 in Hadlyme, Connecticut, USA; died on 21 Apr 1915 in East Haddam, Connecticut, USA; was buried in Hadlyme Church Cemetery, East Haddam, Middlesex County, Connecticut, United States. Jane married Niles Seth Rogers on 21 Jan 1867. Niles was born on 11 May 1840; died on 25 Oct 1899; was buried in Grassy Hill Cemetery, Lyme, New London County, Connecticut, United States. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
