Passed away peacefully at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Thursday, July 11th, 2019. Betty (nee Bowman) was a beloved wife of the late Walter Richard MacMillan and Robert Oliver “Bob” Clark, she was 94 years old. Loving mother of Bob MacMillan and his wife Louise of Calgary. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Sean (Lise) MacMillan, Janet MacMillan-Brown and great grandchildren Keegan, Katie & Gavin. Dearly loved sister of Palmer Bowman of Elmvale. She was predeceased by her parent's Joseph and Elizabeth Bowman, and by her siblings Marjorie, Audrey, Joe, Austin, Sheldon, Sally and John. Betty had been an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #445. Visitation for Betty will be held at the Martyn Funeral Home on Sunday July 14th from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. Interment Callander Union Cemetery. If desired donations to the North Bay Regional Health Centre Foundation would be appreciated by her family.

Betty Ann (Smiley) Pelton Soens, Danbury, died at her home Dec. 21, 2001. She was 74 years old.
Betty was born May 8, 1927, in Pine City, Minn. Betty was the fourth child and first daughter of John M. and Pearl V. (McKee) Smiley. She and her family moved to Wisconsin in 1930, where she lived most of her youth.
Betty met Earle Francis Pelton and married him Jan. 16, 1946, after his return from World War II. Two children were born to this union. During their marriage they worked together cutting pulp and helping both their parents with farm chores until Earle began working in the Twin Cities for Bridge Builders. They enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and were involved in the local snowmobile club.
After Earle died in November 1972, Betty met Curtis Edward Soens. They were married in Ely, Minn. They lived near Hinckley, Minn., on a farm and raised sheep and vegetables to sell. When Curtis died in May of 1993, Betty moved back to Danbury to be closer to her family. She had been ill for many years and was housebound most of the time until her death.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Earle; second husband, Curtis; brothers Herbert (in WWII), Carl and Willis; great-grandson; two nieces and one great-niece.
She is survived by daughters Linda L. (Willie) Jorgensen and Vicki L. (Gerald) Koenen, both of Danury; grandchildren Tammy J. (Mike) Jones, Dresser, Brian C. Jorgensen, Ginger L. Koenen and Jennifer A. Todd) Kern, all of Danbury; great-grandchildren Andrew and Amber Jorgensen, Ciara Koenen and Merissa and Dustin Kern; brothers John W. Smiley, Oregon, Douglas E. (Bonnie) Smiley, Earl W. (Laura) Smiley and Robert D. (Linda), all of Danbury; sisters Dorothy M. Terzini, Webster, Nell L. (Bill) Rosen, Kentucky, Mary E. Davis, Danbury and Ruth D. (James) Drizzel, Pennsylvania; 16 nieces and nephews; 34 great-nieces and nephews; five great-great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Jan. 7 at the Danbury United Methodist Church in Danbury with Andrea Snithback officiating. Music was provided by organist Joanne Zillmer and soloist Julie Macke. Casketbearers were Gary Soens, Brian Jorgensen, Mike Jones, Todd Kern, Wayne Talmadge and John Mercer. Interment was held at the Danbury Cemetery in Danbury.
The Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Webster, assisted the family with arrangements.

 | Beverley Anne Summers Summers, Beverley Anne (Valkonen, nee Giles), of Lambton Shores, Ontario, passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at her home in Lake Valley Grove, at the age of 80.
Beverley is now reunited with husbands Allan Valkonen (d. 1983) and Steve Summers (d. 2013). She will be greatly missed by her 7 children: Kim Dean, Mark Summers (Norma), Lisa Key (John), Mark Valkonen, Heather Kundapur (Dave), Lesley Loughlin (Steve) and Laura Summers; her 11 grandchildren: Peter Mayer (Miranda), Matthew Mayer (Amy), Melissa Martin (Stephen), Jennifer Dean, Rachel Dean, Gregory Key, Lauren Key, Ryan Key, Madison Loughlin, Carah Kundapur and Alexander Kundapur; her 5 great-grandchildren, Austin, Gwen, Logan, Tessa and Riley; her 3 brothers, Harold (Rosalyn), David and Donald (Roxie); and by many more cousins, extended family and beloved friends.
Beverley’s commitment to family and friends was only surpassed by her love of her cats. She had a passion for building relationships and found great pleasure in giving back to her community, volunteering her time to so many worthy causes. Beverley could always be counted on to be there.
Visitation will be held at DENNING’S OF FOREST, 9 James Street South, Forest, Ontario, on Thursday, October 3rd, 7pm - 9pm and Friday, October 4th, 9am - 11am. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Denning’s of Forest on Friday morning, starting at 11:30am.
Visitation will also be held in Toronto at the CHURCH OF CHRIST THE KING, 475 Rathburn Road, Etobicoke, Ontario, on Friday, October 11th, 6pm - 8pm and Saturday, October 12th, 10am – 11:30am. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Christ the King on Saturday, starting at 12pm. A family interment will take place at a later time.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to organizations to which Beverley volunteered her time for many years: Victim Services of Sarnia-Lambton or Contact House Food Bank, Forest, or the charity of your choice.

Beverly L. Knight, formerly of Monroe NY, passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune, NJ. She was 80 years old. The daughter of the late Alphonse A. Plank and Meta Ellen Brooks, she was born on February 13, 1936, in Goshen, NY. She married Robert W. Knight in Atlantic City, NJ, on January 10th 1957. Beverly was employed at Highland Telephone Company as an Operator and later in the Building Maintenance Department for Frontier Communications of New York.
Noted for her library of cookbooks and her baked apple pies, she opened her kitchen to everyone. She was never too busy to bake a birthday cake. Her smile brightened up a room along with a keen sense of humor, a helpmate to her friends and family. She enjoyed traveling to Atlantic City and dining with good friends. Her fondness and love for animals included her beloved dog, Annie Rooney. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and also a member of NJ Coalition on Woman and Disabilities. She served as sunshine coordinator of the Coalition.
Survivors include sons: Jack L. Knight and his wife Gia of Goshen, NY and John S. Knight of Fort Lauderdale, FL.; daughters: Ruth A. Stack and husband Roy of Jackson, NJ, and Jan M. VanHage of Warwick, NY. Brothers: Robert Plank and wife Dot of McHenry, IL., Larry Plank and wife Nancy of Port Royal, SC, and Stuart Plank of Freehold, NJ.; grandchildren: Dariel Stack, Bryson Cooper, Rachael Knight, Carly Knight, Timothy Stack, Derek Knight, Brianna Cooper and Gabriella Knight; great-grandchildren: Aalijah Knight, Carmella Ferraro, Owen Goldbaum and Noah Williams. Beverly was predeceased by her son Robert W. Knight Jr. and her husband of 50 years, Robert W. Knight.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 30th at Smith Seaman and Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home, 117 Maple Avenue, Monroe, NY. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 1st in the Funeral Home.

 | Bill Brethauer Died peacefully on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at Campbell House Hospice, Collingwood surrounded by his family at the age of 87. Bill of Wasaga Beach, beloved husband of Winifred for over 66 years. Loving father of Brian (Stephanie), Lori (Keith McIntyre) and Terri Brethauer-Mischuk. Cherished grandfather of Allan, Kristi and Shantal Brethauer, Olivia Hamilton, Matthew Mischuk and Hope Robertson and great grandfather of Summer and London Mischuk, Marlene Brethauer, Cole Hamilton and Tobiah Robertson. Bill had a long and rewarding career with Warner Lambert, later Pfizer as well as over 35 years as an OHL referee. He was a sportsman who loved to play and watch hockey, curl and golf well into his 80’s. Bill was most committed to his family. He loved them deeply, doting on his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be dearly missed. A Celebration will occur at a later date when conditions permit.  | Bill Lewis William M. ?Bill? Lewis, 89, of Auburn, died on Tuesday June 11, 2019 after a period of declining health.
Born in Worcester to Marshall W. and Eva (Gates) Lewis, Bill was raised in Auburn and met the love of his life, Claire E. (Simmons), when they were just sixteen years old. They were married in 1951, two years after graduating from Auburn High School, and most recently celebrated 68 years of marriage. Bill dedicated 13 years of service to the United States Army National Guard.
Bill always enjoyed spending the afternoon playing golf and loved to travel. He was known, to friends and family, as a handyman, able to fix any problem they might have.
He was a longtime member of Hadwen Park Congregational Church and looked forward to the weekly service he would attend.
Bill leaves his loving wife, Claire; three brothers, Royden K., Richard A., and Robert E. Lewis; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held privately at his family?s request. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to a charity of one?s choice.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the First Presbyterian Church of Auburn, the Rev. Robert Crowell officiating. Burial will be in Fort Hill Cemetery.
Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Brew Funeral Home, 48 South St. Masonic services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

 | Bill Rosen William "Bill" Rosen, 73, of Sedalia died at 4:35 p.m. Thursday at Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield.
Mr. Rosen served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a retired ironworker in St. Paul, Minn.
He is survived by his wife, Nell Rosen; four brothers, Ronald Rosen of Boyceville, Wis., Gerald Rosen of Cameron, Wis., Lawerance Rosen of Clear Lake, Wis., and Darald Rosen of Barron, Wis.; and three sisters, Donna VanSlate of Merrill, Wis., Bonnie Reindahl of Clear Lake and Linda Robertson of Clayton, Wis., .
His parents were Ed Rosen and Kathryn Newville Rosen. He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
There will be no funeral. Byrn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

 | Bill Simpson William E. "Bill" Simpson, 73, of Marshall, Michigan died at home on Saturday, October 8, 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer. William Edgar "Bill" Simpson was born September 22, 1943 in Battle Creek to Myron and Edna (Wooden) Simpson. He grew up in Hickory Corners and was a 1960 graduate of Kellogg Agricultural School. He honorably served in the U.S. Marine Corps 1960-64; and is a 100% Disabled American Veteran. Bill was employed as a carpenter for Schweitzer Construction Company and did a lot of work at the Kellogg Company. In 1985, Kellogg Company hired Bill and he was employed there until retiring in 2010, as Director of Operations and Corporate Construction. Bill married Diane M. Moyers on June 27, 1985 at Yorkville Community Church. Surviving are his wife, Diane; two sons, Wade Wilkey of Fine Lake, Walt (Shelley Freeman) Wilkey of Aqua Dulce, California; several grandchildren including Wendy, Whitney, Tyler, Jackie, Alexis and Toni; and a great-grandson, Daniel Arnold. Bill was preceded in death by his son, Duane R. Simpson on Dec. 16, 2003; a brother, Robert Simpson and a sister, Eleanor Gillespie. Bill was a member of the Kellogg 25 Year Club. He was a member of the U.S. Marine Rifle and Pistol Team and still enjoyed target practice. He was a former big game hunter and traveled to Africa, Costa Rica, Mexico and Venezuela. Bill was an avid fisherman and also enjoyed big game fishing. He especially loved boating on the great lakes, especially cruising in his Sea Ray "Purrsistence" (name of boat) on Lake Michigan. Friends will be received 4:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, where funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 17, 2016. Interment with military honors by the Ft. Custer and the U.S. Marine Corps Honor Guards will follow at Ft. Custer National Cemetery.  | Bill Studebaker William Gene "Bill" Studebaker passed away on April 3, 2012 in Odenton, MD. He was 90 years old, born October 4, 1921 in Marcus, WA to Harold and Minnie (Culp) Studebaker.
Bill grew up in Skagit County. He graduated from Sedro-Woolley High school and attended Skagit Valley College.
Bill was a Veteran of the US Air Force having attained the rank of Lt. Col. He served in World War II as a Command Pilot and in the Korean War as a pilot.
In 1946 Bill married Ailsa Clune of Australia.
Upon retirement Bill worked for the Dept. of Transportation, Bureau of Highway Safety in WA DC.
Bill was truly a gentleman of gentlemen, treating all with kindness and respect. He loved life. He loved his children, grandchildren, extended family and many friends. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed fellowship of friends that went with it.
Bill was preceded in death by his late wife, Velma; his parents, and brother Roy.
He is survived by his son, James (Carol) Studebaker, of Australia; daughter, Susan, of Odenton, Maryland; a brother, Karl (Mary), of Bellingham; grandchildren, James of Reston, VA. and Elizabeth, of Sacramento, CA; nephews, Tom Studebaker (Dana), of Sedro-Woolley and Kenneth Studebaker (JoAnn), of La Palma, CA; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Interment was held on April 5 in Cranston, RH. A memorial service was held at the Fort Mead Officers Club on Friday, April, 6, 2012.

 | Bill Weyer William ?Bill? Christopher Weyer, age 92, of Narrows, VA lived on the family farms in Saskatchewan and Alberta, Canada until his family moved to the US when he was 10 years old. He graduated from Gonzaga High School in Spokane, Washington and served in the US Navy during World War II. After the war, Bill started a 36 year career with Kaiser Aluminum. During his tenure there, he rose from factory worker to plant manager. While serving this role in Kaiser Plants throughout the US, including Spokane, WA; Ravenswood, WV; Belpre, OH; and Valparaiso, IN, his prestigious career also took him to locations such as Europe, Japan and Australia. Bill married Carol Mae Murray in Spokane and they raised five children together and had many wonderful experiences of cross-country vacations, camping, and Myrtle Beach trips. Bill was an avid gardener and golfer and a published poet. He also loved playing the harmonica for family and friends and telling many wonderful stories throughout his life. His ability to delight and entertain will be greatly missed. Bill was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Carol Mae Weyer; his parents, Andrew and Jane Munro Weyer; his sisters Catherine, Margaret and Wilma; and brothers Tom and Pat. He is survived by his brother Joe Weyer ; his five children; Tom; Dave; Sharon Weyer Aune; Kevin; and Steve.

Mr. William R. Billy' Eidman passed away unexpectantly on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 in Yuma. He was born in Rochester, New York on January 24, 1924. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Lorraine; his two daughters, Diane Milburn and Barbara (Tom) Yandell; and one son, Robert (Cathy). He is also survived by eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild. Billy served in World War II with the U.S. Navy Sea Bees. He was a Loyal Moose Member for 30 years. He was the owner of Bill's Distributors in Reno for many years. He was much loved and will be missed by many. Funeral arrangements entrusted to O'Brien-Rogers & Crosby Funeral Home in Reno, Nevada. Graveside services will be held on Friday, April 24, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Sierra Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

 | Blaine Carl Haigh Blaine Carl Haigh passed away peacefully on Dec. 1, 2013 at Careage of Whidbey in Coupeville after a brief battle with cancer. He was 82 years old.
Blaine was born in Los Angeles, Calif. on Aug. 20, 1931 to Norman and Lyla Haigh and joined the Air Force after graduating from high school. After serving his country in Korea, Blaine left the service and began a long career with the Motorola Company, retiring in 1992 as an international buyer.
In 1978, Blaine met and married his wife, Joan Cope Williams, with whom he spent 35 wonderful years. After making their first home together in Arizona, Blaine and Joan moved to Coupeville in 1992, living happily near family and friends for the next 21 years.
Before and after his retirement, Blaine enjoyed golf, bowling and card games, which he participated in until the last months of his life. Whether at the bowling alley or the card table, Blaine loved the skill and social aspects of the games and joined an exclusive club in February of 2002 when he bowled his first perfect game at Oak Harbor’s Oak Bowl.
Blaine is survived by his wife, four children, six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and his sister Sandra. A private interment ceremony will be held at the Sunnyside Cemetery in Coupeville. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Mark Andreasen at Burley Funeral Chapel.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lucy; five sons: Jack (Cheryl) of Yellowknife, N.W.T., Dick (Maria) of Yellowknife, N.W.T., Roger (Joni) of Yellowknife, N.W.T., Wayne (Julia) of Westlock, Alberta, Walter (Laurie) of Vimy, Alberta; three daughters: Pat (Wes) Sadoway of Edmonton, Alberta, Louise (Colin) Cox of Richmond, B.C., Judy Walker (Mauro Cotechini) of Toronto, Ontario; 21 grandchildren: Rob, Jill, Sandee, Kelly, Ashley, Matthew, Bryce, Ryan, Zachary, Mackenzie, Kirk, Brett, Cole, Shane, Carmen, Guthrie, Ethan, Shauno, Maura, Reuben and Tiziana; one sister, Audrey (Dorwin) Hawn of Durango, Colorado, U.S.A. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Lillian; two brothers: Stanley and Don; two sisters: Jean and Thelma; a daughter-in-law, Bonnie.

Eva May (Bonnie) Morgan, 19 year resident of Fallbrook, died Oct. 1 after an 18 day hospitalization at Tri City Hospital. A third generation Californian, Mrs. Morgan was born in San Jacinto. She and her late husband, Dr. Lynn Morgan lived in Glendale from 1947 to 1962 when they built their hilltop home on Sleeping Indian Rd., with its view of Mt. San Jacinto near her birthplace.
Mrs. Morgan was an active member of the Organaires Club in Fallbrook.
She is survived by two daughters, Evelyn Quisenberry of Honolulu and Bonnie Mae Badger of Lakeview Terrace; two sons, Lynn Leon Morgan Jr., of Atascadero and Edward N. Morgan of Fallbrook. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and eight greatgrandchildren.
There were no services following cremation.
The family has requested memorial donations to the American Cancer Society.

A 10-year-old Mayerthorpe district boy died Thursday on the way to hospital after being thrown from the horse he was riding.
RCMP said Terrence, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin R. Schaupmeyer was found unconscious in the pasture about 6:10 p.m. by his mother, shortly after he left the farm yard, about 8 miles north of Mayerthorpe, to go for the cattle.
No inquest is being called.

Bradley Mulligan, of 883 Colborne Street was fatally injured on his fifth birthday Saturday in a Burford area farm accident.
Bradley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Mulligan had gone to a location a mile south Highway 53 on the Bishops-gate Road with his father. Mulligan was doing some work with his back-hoc when the accident occurred.
Police say the youngster was sitting on the rear seat of the backhoe when he told his father he wanted to get off. Mulligan brought the machine to a halt and Bradley jumped down between the rear wheels and the hoe.
Prov. Const. John Tate said the boy's coat caught on the pedal that activated the boom, and the boom on the hoe pinned him. He was taken to the Brantford General Hospital in a private car and died about 45 minutes later of severe internal injuries.

 | Boys' Bodies Are Recovered in Winooski Boys' Bodies Are Recovered In Winooski
JONESVILLE - (Special) -The bodies of two drowned Jonesville boys were recovered from the Winooski River here Saturday morning by state police.
Kim J. Hallock 11 son of Mr. and Mrs. Ceylon Hallock and Steven L. Blish 10 son of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Blish were the objects of intensive searches Friday evening and Saturday morning.
They were reported missing Friday about 7:45 pm when they did not come home after going fishing in Jonesville. Police used bloodhounds in the search Friday night but failed to come up with anything.
Police dragged the river Saturday morning and found the bodies of the two in about 12 feet of water in a cove. The bodies were some 15 feet from shore.

 | Brian Coulter It is with great sadness that the family of Bryan Coulter announce his passing on December 24, 2018 after suffering a heart attack at the age of 72. Bryan is survived by his wife Mickey, son Michael, daughter-in-law Kim, grandson Ewan, sister Bonnie Cox, nieces Nikki Martin, Amanda Wozny, Shiloh Coulter and nephews Dan Cox and Tyler Coulter.
Bryan began fencing when he was 18 years old and retired at 70. He enjoyed working hard, but took time out for his pets and playing snooker, at which he was pretty good. He was generous and kind to family and friends, he helped anyone that he could.
He will be missed by the people who knew him.

 | Bryan Larkins With his family by his side, Bryan passed away on February 17, 2020 at the Portage District General Hospital at the age of 55 years.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother Ethel Larkins of Portage, siblings David (Dianne) of Saskatoon, Kenneth of Winnipeg, Ronald of Portage, Robert (Carol) of Portage, Donna (Kevin) of Portage, Valerie of Portage, Debbie (Ron) of Delta, Alice (Garry) of Portage, Heather (Drew) of Portage, Norma (Albert) of Sandy Bay, Marjorie (Cam) of Portage, Keith (Debbie) of Consort, AB and Brenda (Donny) of High Bluff, brother-in-law Charlie Hollohan, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, extended family medical staff at PDGH, and a special aide who touched his heart Shyla.
Bryan was predeceased by dad Donald Larkins, sister Linda Hollohan (Flynn), brothers-in-law Kenneth Orr and Bill Flynn, sisters-in-law Audrey Larkins and Eileen Larkins.
Bryan was born on December 9, 1964 in Portage la Prairie, MB. Bryan grew up in rural Portage on the family farm, and attended High Bluff and Crescentview Schools. Bryan enjoyed hunting, skidooing, ice fishing, curling and partying in his younger days. Bryan took over the farm and spent many hours helping his nieces and nephews with their 4-H projects. Bryan was a member of the Simmental Association. In the summer of 2018, Bryan was diagnosed with ALS. Within the last year, he had a lengthy stay on the medical ward at PDGH, and then moved to the Lions Prairie Manor.
Then family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Dr. Finney, medical staff and Skyview staff at Lions Prairie Manor.
Viewing and Visitation will take place at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel on Friday, February 21, 2020 from 7:00 to 8:00 pm. Celebration of Bryan?s Life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at the Herman Prior Centre.

LONDON, Ont.: June 5.-Fred Lott, Wingham, died yesterday in Victoria Hospital from a rifle shot wound received in a hunting accident near his home.
A bullet from a rifle carried by Harry Brown, Lott's companion in a groundhog-shooting expedition, passed through Lott's neck and he was rushed to hospital in critical condition on Sunday.
Investigation by provincial police showed that Brown was examining a rifle when it accidentally discharged.
Medical examination showed that the force of the bullet had paralyzed one side of Lott's body. Funeral services will be at Wingham.

POLSON -- Clarence A. Folden, 64, died Sunday in the Poolson hospital.
He was born Nov, 21, 1903, in Onawa, Iowa, and married Mildred T. Simmons on Oct. 10, 1923 at Loveland, Towa, The couple moved to Polson in 1932 and had resided there since that time except for three years durin World War II.
Mr. Holden had worked for the Lake County Road Department for 19 years retiring in 1964.
He is survived by his wife; three sons, Delbert of Pablo, LeRoy of Alzalle, Ga., and Norris Folder of Polson; a daughter, Mrs. Arnold Armstrong of Ronan; the brothers, George of Polson and Lawrence Folden of Peshastin, Wash.; a sister, Mrs. Allen Rossman of Spokane and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Folden will be conducted in the Mosley Chapel in Polson at 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Walter Scherbaum officiating. Interment will be in the Lakeview Cemetery.
