Surrounded by the love of her family, Arlene V. Wood, 92, a longtime resident of Leslie Road and Carey Cross Road, passed away Tuesday morning, November 13, 2018, at Canton-Potsdam Hospital.

Arlene was a member of the VFW and AMVETS Auxiliaries, Massena Senior Citizens, and the Highland Red Hatters. She enjoyed following NASCAR, going to Dirt Track races, camping, playing cards, knitting, fishing, and playing bingo.
After her retirement in 1985, she and her late husband enjoyed many winters in Ocala, Florida until his passing in 1991.
Arlene is survived by her children and their spouses, Kenneth R. and Elizabeth Wood of Goose Creek of South Carolina; Martha A. and William MacGregor of Brewerton; Shirley Ann Wood of Massena; Richard and Joyce Wood of Canton; and Jerry Paul Wood and his fiancé, Brenda Jock of Massena; 21 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; and her sister, Sylvia Quenneville of Massena.
