Beatrice Ursula Knight, 67, died unexpectedly Thursday, July 5, 2001, in Fletcher Allen Health Care. She was born in Starksboro on April 17, 1934, the daughter of the late Phillip and Ursula Hallock. She married William Knight in Huntington on May 9, 1953. Bea was a member of the Huntington Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir for many years. She was a kind and devoted caregiver to many friends and neighbors. She was a volunteer at Brewster Pierce Elementary School, where she enjoyed the first- and second-graders. Bea was an avid fan of the Huntington Hillbillies softball team. She loved big family gatherings, swimming with all the kids, cooking and baking. The summer months were spent gardening, canning and freezing the bountiful produce. She loved all animals, especially her dear cat, Tommy.
She is survived by her husband, William, for whom she had been the dedicated caregiver for many years; her daughter, Karen Doolan and her husband, Mike, of Essex; seven sons, Myron and his partner, Patricia Haskins, of Huntington, Mike and Sheila Knight of Starksboro, Marvin Knight of Winooski, Marty and Shelly Knight of Waterbury, Monte and Rebecca Knight of Huntington, Milford and Laurie Knight of Burlington, and Merle and Carolyn Knight of Bristol; 12 grandchildren; a great-grandson; her sister, Freda Bean of Huntington; two brothers, Clarence Hallock of Lincoln and Clinton Hallock of Essex Junction; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Isabelle Moody and Marion Brace; three brothers, Celon, Nelson and Dayton Hallock, and a special family member, Glen Truax.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 9, at 11 a.m. in the Huntington Baptist Church with burial to follow in Maplewood Cemetery in Huntington. Visiting hours are Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Gifford Funeral Home, 22 Depot St., Richmond. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Richmond Rescue, P.O. Box 404, Richmond, Vt. 05477.

Ben passed away Sunday, September 8, 2019, at the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital. Beloved husband of Cindy (nee Boothby) of Bracebridge. Loving father of Johnathon (Amanda) of Bracebridge and Benji (Sophia) of Collingwood. Ben is the proud grandfather of Robert, Andrew, Steven, Isabella and a grand-baby on the way. Son of Anne and the late John Tubman. Brother to Kim (Don) of St. Louis. Ben spent his career as a funeral director at Reynolds Funeral Home in Bracebridge. For over 38 years, he has been a constant support for many families in Bracebridge and all of the surrounding communities. He was an avid golfer and curler at South Muskoka Curling and Golf Club. Ben will be missed and remembered by his colleagues and many friends. Ben was from the Ottawa Valley and hunted each year with long-time pals in Richmond.
Visitation will be held at Reynolds Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Being from the Ottawa Valley, visitation will also be held at Alan R. Barker Funeral Home in Carleton Place, on Thursday, September 12, 2019 from 12:00 noon - 2:00 pm. The funeral will be held in the chapel of the Alan R. Barker Funeral Home at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Munster Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to support the South Muskoka Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.

 | Benjamin McKerracher McKerracher - In the death of Mr. Benjamin MeKerracher, which occurred at his inte residence on Tuesday, April 29th, the town loses one who had been a resident for the past twenty-five years. Deceased had reached the ripe age of eighty-four years and was born in the township of Bathurst where he had farmed previous to coming to Perth. Forty-five years ago he was married to Margaret Kirkham who survives together with three daughters and five sons: Mrs, A. L. Chariton, and Carrie of Perth; Mrs. Geo. Philinps of Woonsocket, R. I.; Messrs, William and Alfred at home: Thomas of Bathurst, John of North Bay, and Benjamin of Toronto. For many years the deceased was a member of Court Tay Canadian Order of Forresters under whose direction the funeral took place to Elmwood cemetery last Thursday afternoon. The funeral services at the home were conducted by Rev. Thos. Brown, pastor of Asbury Methodist church. The pallbearers were Messrs, W. Douglas, H. Saunders, C. F. Stone. A. Chariton, T. McKerracher and A. Wilson.

 | Bernard Francis Ehmann Bernard Francis Ehmann, 65, of Phoenix, passed to the Lord on Saturday, April 2, 2005, after a valiant 13 year battle with lymphoma. He was at home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Chicago to Frances Verweil and Anthony Ehmann, January 24, 1940, and moved to Arizona in 1945. He graduated from St. Mary's in 1958. Bernie was ceaselessly enterprising, which was demonstrated by his successful building of ABC Vacuum Center, a family owned and operated business. He passed the torch to his son Larry when he retired in 2000. He was an honorary member of the Knights of Columbus, and served as President for many organizations and committees. He belonged to St. Thomas the Apostle Church, where he faithfully and proudly served for many years. He is survived by Sandra, his wife of 38 years; their daughter Carrie Rhea; their son Lawrence Ehmann; 9 grandchildren; 4 brothers; 2 sisters; and numerous close friends. To know him was to love him and many called him Dad. We will miss you Dr. B. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 5th, from 6:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M., with Scripture Service at 7:00 P.M., at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, April 6th, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 2312 East Campbell Avenue. A Christian burial procession and Celebration of Life reception will follow. Your donations to Hospital of the Valley in Bernard Ehmann's name would be appreciated.
