Dear sister of Edward Byers, Millie Ayers and Clara Jamieson, all of Callander. Predeceased by one brother George Byers, and one sister Hazel Byers. Grandpa will be remembered by five grandchildren Marcus, Guy and Sarah Campbell, and Jacob and Amy-Jo' Stewart. Family will receive visitors today in the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Service in the chapel, Thursday at 11 am Interment Callander Union Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, would be appreciated by her family.

Dear brother of Charlie, David and Eleanor (Mrs. Norman McMartin), all of Mattawa and Lillian (Mrs. James Allan), Thornloe, Ontario. Predeceased by 4 brothers, John, Percy, William and Eric. Also survived by 34 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Kerry Funeral Chapel, 154 Elgin Street, Almonte, for visiting on Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., thence to the Clayton Community Hall on Saturday at 12 noon for service at 2 p.m. Interment Clayton United Cemetery. ALMONTE, Dec 28 - (Special)- Mrs Reuben Giles, longtime resident of Blakeney Village, some three miles north of Almonte, died at her home in the village on December 25 following a short illness. She was 77. Born Bertha McArthur in Ramsay township February 29, 1880, she was a daughter of the late Stephen McArthur and his wife, the former Mary Turner. She received her education in the rural schools. Following her marriage some 45 years ago she and her husband moved to Blakeney Village, where they have resided until the time of her death. She was a member of the Blakeney United Church and was a life member of the Women's Missionary Society of the church. Surviving, besides her husband, are a daughter, Mrs J.H. Majaury (Margaret) of Almonte; a sister and a brother, Ethel and Stephen McArthur of Blakeney. The funeral was held on Friday from the Comba funeral home at 2 p.m., with interment being in the Auld Kirk cemetery. Rev Mr Henley officiated, assisted by Rev J. Ray Anderson of the Almonte United Church.
