1652 DYMCHURCH.
DEATH OF THE RECTOR?S SON.
It is with the deepest, regret that we report the death of Henry Walton the only son of Rev. and Mrs. H. L. Boldero, the Rectory, Dymchurch. The deceased, aged 12 and 2 months, was a pupil at St. John's School, Leatherhead, and had been suffering from an attack of influenza, from which he was recovering when he was taken ill with scarlet fever. For five or six days the illness seemed to run its usual course, but on Thursday in last week meningitis set in, and his parents were sent for. He passed away on Friday, March 20th.
When the news reached Dymchurch it cast a feeling of grief over the whole village, and everyone felt the deepest sorrow and sincerest sympathy with Mr. and Mrs. Boldero.
The body was conveyed to Dymchurch on Monday by road, and on its arrival the first part of the burial service was read, and the choir and congregation sang the hymn, "For all the Saints who from their Labour Rest, this hymn being chosen as it was the special favourite of the deceased boy.
The funeral took place on Tuesday afternoon, the Rev. P. H. Collins (Vicar of Lydd and Rural Dean), and Rev. C. J. Oliphant (Rector of Burmarsh) conducting the service. The choir and congregation sang the following hymns,"For ever with the Lord,? "Christ will gather in His own,? and "On the Resurrection Morning,? with Psalm xc.
Among those present were Rev. and Mrs. Boldero (father and mother), Miss Monica Boldero (sister), Rev. J. H. Boldero (Vicar of Morton, Lincs.), Mr. W. N. C. Burrell, Great Barton, Suffolk (uncles), Rev. G. M. Scott (Rector of Lympne), Rev. G. Brocklehurst (Rector of Newchurch), Rev. N. R. Raven (Rector of Ivychurch), Mr. F. P. Scott, Seabrook Lodge School, Hythe, Messrs. W. Smith and T, Niel (Churchwardens), Messrs. F. Elliott, R. S. Jones, P. Broadley, and J. T. S. Brightman (sidesmen), Mrs. Oliphant, Captain and Mrs. Warren, Mrs. Waddell, Miss Knott, Mrs. Lewis, Miss H. Smith, Miss Else, Mr. Rayner, Misses Hunt, Mrs. Wood, Miss Elliott.
Many and beautiful were the floral tributes sent, including several from the deceased?s school friends and playmates. Some of them were inscribed:

The. Rev. E. A. Downes (Headmaster of St. John?s, Leatherhead), spoke most highly of the deceased, as a boy "exceptionally brilliant, with every prospect of a distinguished career.? The Rev. Dr. William Hunt, Chairman of the Committee of St. John?s School, wrote a most sympathetic letter the parents on behalf of himself and his colleagues, in which he said: "Mr. Downes has told me how full of promise your son?s youth was. A general favourite, with bright and pleasant temperament, excellent in conduct, and intellectually forward beyond his years.?
A memorial service was held in the School Chapel at St. John?s on Tuesday afternoon at 3 p.m. References were made to the sad event at the services.

1659 E. E. ANDREWS, before mentioned, was born January 17, 1823. He removed to South Reading, Mass., April 1, 1846, and September 14, 1852, he married Miss Lucy A. BENJAMIN, of Berlin, and moved to Maiden, Mass., where he engaged in hardware business. He bought the old homestead and returned to Berlin in February, 1858, where he now resides. He is a farmer and nurseryman, is a prominent citizen of Berlin, represented his town in the state legislature in 1866-67, and has also held other town offices. He has held office in Eagle Grange, of Berlin, since its organization, and has been chaplain of Vermont State Grange several years.

1660 E. Marie Coxon, 89, of Homer, died Sunday, July 16, 2006, at Oaklawn Hospital.
Mrs. Coxon was born August 20, 1916, in Albion, to Lyle Day and Edythe L. Wilson (Pennock) Bostwick. She married Edward DeVere Coxon May 7, 1938. He preceded her in death in 1974.
Mrs Coxon was a licensed practical nurse for Albion Community Hospital, working in the intensive care unit. She also worked at Lakeview Hospital before retiring in 1985.
Mrs. Coxon enjoyed gardening, crocheting, birds and the outdoors. She spent most of her life in the Homer and Battle Creek areas.
Survivors include two daughters, Jane Marie (Roger) Leonard of Battle?Creek and Ruth Ann (Doug) Warner of Homer; special friends Mike and Carol Moss of Marshall; a sister, Betty Rogers of Oregon; and eight grandchildren, Rachele Beyerlein, Brent Leonard, Brad Leonard, Bart Leonard, Brian Warner, Dusty Warner, Diane Bishop and Christine Miller.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Coxon was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth and George; and a great-grandson.
Visitation will take place from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 19, at the J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home in Albion, and from noon until 1 p.m., Thursday, July 20, at the Albion Free Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Thursday, July 20, at the church, with the Rev. Ralph Bramley officiating.
Interment will follow at Spring Arbor Cemetery.

1662 EAGLE RIVER, Alaska - Private family services for Jean Determan Shea, 72, of Eagle River, Alaska, were held Feb. 14, 2001, at the Lauterburg-Oehler Funeral Home in Arlington Heights, Ill. Interment was at the Memory Gardens Cemetery in Arlington Heights.
Jean Determan Shea died on Feb. 6, 2001, at the Providence Catholic Hospital in Anchorage, Alaska.
Jean was born March 3, 1928, in Mason City. She was the daughter of Henry and Josephine (Lynch) Determan. She graduated from Mason City High School, attended UNI and graduated from Colorado State at Boulder, Colo.
She was the Home Economics Director for an electrical power company in Colorado overseeing appliances with demonstrations for the public at the power company. She also wrote radio commercials which encompassed the area.
She later taught high school English in Colorado and Michigan. She retired after working as a sales representative selling office products for 19 years in the Chicago area.
She is survived by three sons, Craig Shea, of Island Lake, Ill., David Shea, of Eagle River, Alaska, and Steven Shea, of Arlington Heights, Ill.; grandchildren, Michael and Crystal Shea; brother, Jack Determan and his wife, Doris, of Clear Lake; brother-in-law, George Lammers, of Streamwood, Ill.; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Patricia Lammers.

1669 Earl Robert Dewar was born on February 22, 1915 to Harvey and Lily Dewar on the farm NE, 28, 16, 19 W3rd RM of Pittville, Hazlet, Saskatchewan. In 1920, the family moved to Blenheim, Ontario. Earl recalled his childhood years there very fondly and often spoke about his dad?s country store where he worked delivering groceries. He also recalled the hard work of hoeing tobacco and the fun of swinging from a rope into the swimming hole. When the family returned to Saskatchewan in 1928, Earl attended the one-room school at Unionville and then finished Grade 10 at the new Hazlet School. All of this time, he worked on the family farm. Earl took over the farm in 1936, when his parents moved to Creston, B.C. On July 3, 1941, he married Nora Hazlett. Earl had a life-long love of and belief in the importance of education and learning. He read constantly building on his knowledge not only to benefit his own life and personal interests but also for those around him. Truly, he could be described as a highly knowledgeable and self-educated man. He carried the goal of getting his Grade 12 for many years and almost immediately on retirement from the farm to Swift Current in 1974, Earl wrote his Grade 12 examinations. Earl was a farmer for 38 years and a very active, devoted, and respected member of the Hazlet community. He took on a leadership role in many community organizations including 25 years on the School Board. He was a founding member of the Prairie Pioneers Kiwanis Club of Swift Current and continued to be an active and valued contributor well into his 90s. Earl had many and varied interests ? reading, fishing, camping, hunting, and bridge. Earl was a prolific and accomplished painter and proudly had his worked displayed at the Swift Current art gallery and participated in a major prairie artists show at age 90. He had a prodigious memory of everything from history to the very earliest days of life on the prairies. Earl is survived by his wife, Nora; his children, Derek (Phyllis) (Hazlet, SK) and their children: Evan, Deneille, and Trent; Anne Dewar (Vancouver, BC); June (Gordon) Robinson (Victoria, BC) and their children: Mark and Megan; Janice Dewar (Edmonton, AB); Mary Ellen Dewar (Martin d?Entremont) (Calgary, AB) and their son David; by two brothers, Don (Betty) (Edmonton), Roy (Jean) (Kamloops); and his sister, Louise Marquardt (Vancouver). Earl was predeceased by his parents, Lily and Harvey; and his brother, Raymond. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Palliser Regional Care Centre for their devoted and compassionate care of Earl and the nurses, doctors, and staff of the Cyprus Regional Hospital for their sensitive care of dad and their kindness to the family. Earl was the embodiment of the best of human and personal values. He was a man of great integrity and honesty. Earl passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2010. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. The Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at 2:00 pm, from the First United Church, Swift Current, SK with Elaine Little officiating. The organist for the service was Arlie Neufeld with soloist, Sharon Veer singing, ?Beautiful Isle of Somewhere?. Scripture was read from John 12:24-26, Ecclesiastes 3:1-4 and John 14:1-6. ?All Things Bright and Beautiful?, ?Great Is Thy Faithfulness? and ?Abide With Me? were sung by the congregation.. The ushers in the church were Cecil Dutton, Brian Anderson and Sandy Starkey. The Interment Service was held at the Hillcrest Cemetery, Swift Current, SK with the following serving as pallbearers, Evan Dewar, Trent Dewar, Mark Robinson, Gordon Robinson, Megan Robinson, David d?Entremont and Martin d?Entremont. In memory of Earl Dewar, donations made to the Charity of Donor?s Choice would be appreciated by the family. 1670 Earle Wayne "Peanuts" Smiley was born September 29, 1934, in Pine County, Minnesota.
He was the ninth child of John Walter and Pearl Virginia (McKee) Smiley.
He moved to Danbury with his parents as a young child. He grew up and went to school in the Danbury area. He left school after the eighth grade to help at home.
On August 29, 1977 he married Laura Lynn Young. To this union, two children were born. He lived and worked his entire life in the Danbury area, working construction as a heavy machine operator and later for the Town of Swiss as Road Boss. He retired in 1997.
Earl crossed over to celebrate his new life on the other side on July 27, 2003 at the Burnett Medical Center in Grantsburg, Wisconsin, having suffered a debilitating illness for several years.
Everyone knew him as "Peanuts". He liked to visit with people and he enjoyed his family,friends and Children. He would help whenever he was asked and always have a laugh and a joke or story to cheer people up. He was a good man, husband, father and friend. He was an active participant in the "Danbury Diamond Anniversary" Celebration preparations and also with the Danbury Ambulance Benefit "Pig Roasts" and "Beef Roasts". He helped build the Little Miss Danbury Float, and he was recognized as a good citizen in the community.
Here to Celebrate Earl's memory are his wife, Laura of Danbury; a son, David Wayne Smiley (and Sherri) of Danbury; a daughter, Tracy (and Fiance' Billy Hoover) of Danbury. Also surviving him are three Brothers, John Smiley, of Oregon; Douglas (and Bonita) Smiley and Robert (and Linda) Smiley, all of Danbury; three sisters, Nellie (and Bill ) Rosen of Sedalia, Kentucky; Ruth (and James ) Frizzell of Meadville Pennsylvania and Mary Davis, of Danbury; 32 nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Preceding Earl in death were his parents; three brothers, Herbert, during WWII in France, Carl, in 1991 and Willis "Toby", in 1995; and two sisters, Betty, in 2001, and Dorothy in 2002.
Earl's wishes were to be cremated and that no services be held.

1677 EAST HARDWICK - Harold Monroe Stevens found peace on July 11, 2012, after a 10 year challenging journey with Alzheimer's Disease.

He was born on March 11, 1933, in Huntington, son of Gladys and Heman Stevens.

He attended school in Huntington, then joined the U.S. Air Force and served in the Korean War. He returned to Burlington and worked security at General Electric. He later moved to Hardwick and became manager of Pellitier Lumber. After his retirement, he moved to his home in East Harwick and started his own trucking business, selling sawdust, bark mulch and compost. Harold was a Mason and Shriner, a member of the American Legion and a former member of the men's bowling league. He drove ambulance for Hardwick Rescue Squad for many years. He loved playing cards, sitting on his porch, working with his tractor, building bird houses, and one special joy was being the owner and keeper of the Hootie Dome ballfield. His happiest moments were spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy; daughters, Gladys and her son, Matthew, and Randi and her sons, James, Brooke, and Seth; sons, Daniel and David; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Geraldine Hallock and Rita Bradley; sisters-in-law, Mavis, Margerat and Shirley; brother-in-law, Paul Bradley; many nieces and nephews; stepchildren, Dean and Ann, Dianne and Tim, Harold and Janet, and Clay; sister and brother-in-law, Verne and Mary; 11 stepgrand children; and 10 stepgreatgrandchildren.

He was predeceased by brothers, Heman, Donald, George, Roger and Richard; sister, Dorothea Blish; brothers-in-law, Doug Blish and Clinton Hallock.

The family will receive friends on Sunday at the des Groseilliers Funeral Home, Church Street, Hardwick, from 1 to 4 p.m. Services will be at 3 p.m. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are in the care of des Groseilliers Funeral Homes, Church Street, Hardwick.

1678 EAST HAVEN, CT- Eleanor G. Cunningham Seymour, 90, of 821 Daniel Shays Highway, Athol, MA and former East Haven resident of 85 years, died 8/19 in Athol Memorial Hospital. Born in New Haven , CT on December 5, 1912, she was a daughter of James B. And Catharine V. Bloomfield Seymour and lived there most of her life. She was a secretary at the East Haven Junior High School for many years. She is survived by a daughter, Marcia S. Larocque and husband, Paul; a daughter in law, Lori Knickerbocker and husband Perry; grandchildren, Paul, Susan and Catharine Larocque, Jeremy and Shelly Seymour; four great grandchildren; nephews and nieces as well as a sister, Marion Staples. Predeceased by a brothers, James, George and David Cunningham, and sister, Catharine Yale. 1688 Ebenezer Mullen, a resident here for three years, passed away Sunday, October 22 (1916). Ebenezer Mullen, a respected resident of this county for the past 43 years, most of the time a farmer in Pilot Grove township, passed away at his home 103 Hammond Street, at 2:30 p.m., from kidney and heart trouble after illness of about ten days. He had been in failing health for about a year.

The funeral was held on Tuesday, there being services at the home in Red Oak at 11 a.m., by Rev. F.N. Willis, D.D., and at the Pilot Grove M.E. church at 1 o'clock by Rev. D.B.S. Prather of the Elliott church. Singing was by Mrs. F.J. Brodby, M.B. Harris and Ira Askey, and the pallbearers were Clark, B.O., B. W., and Russell Mullen, and Edwin and Clarance Ray. Burial was in Pilot Grove cemetery. Those who came from a distance in addition to all the children, were following: Elizabeth Boeller and Mrs. Laura Yoker (Youker), of Raymond, Nebraska; Mrs. Edith Morton, of Lewis; E.A. Garside, of Charlotte.

Mr. Mullen was a native of Eastern Canada, born February 29, 1836, and when a young man moved to Illinois. He came to this county and Pilot Grove township in 1873, living there until 1914, when he moved to Red Oak. He was first married Jun 1, 1860, to Lucinda Stearns. His second marriage was to Mariah Garside, in Pilot Grove township December 6, 1883. Mrs. Mullen survives him, as do the following children: Clark Mullen, of Esbon, Kansas; B. O. Mullen, of Elliot; B.W. Mullen, of Pilot Grove township; Russell Mullen, of Red Oak; Mrs. Emma Ray, of Griswold; Mrs. Dora Latimer, of Montesano,Washington.

Deceased was a faithful member of the Methodist church for many years.

1689 Ebenezer Perry was a merchant and Canadian political figure. He was a Conservative member of the Senate of Canada from 1871 until his death and at the age of 83, the oldest person ever summoned to the Senate.

Ebenezer served in the militia during the War of 1812 and moved to Cobourg in 1815. He built a grist mill there, later known as Pratt's Mill or just "The Mill. He built the regency styled Woodlawn in 1835, known today as The Woodlawn Inn. While living at The Woodlawn, Mr. Perry actively lobbied for the incorporation of the Town of Cobourg and served as the first president of the town?s board of police. He was also a member of the Legislative Council of the Province of Canada, serving from 1855 until Confederation.

The Honourable Ebenezer Perry was appointed to the Canadian Senate on the advice of Prime Minister Sir John A. Macdonald. He served as an Ontario Conservative in the Senate from February 2, 1871 to May 5, 1876.

1692 Edgar Ballard?s Rites Conducted on Sunday
TABERG ? Edgar Ballard, 81, died May 6 in a Rome hospital.
He was born in Taberg Sept. 10, 1872, son of Benjamin and Jennie Agan Ballard. On May 9, 1895, he was married in Taberg to Lillian Banning, who died in 1936.
He had been a farmer during most of his life. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Harry Fox, Sr., and Mrs. Alfred Lewis, both of Taberg; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 pun. Sunday at the home of Harry Fox, Jr., Taberg, with the Rev. George Stratton officiating.
Burial was in Maple Hill Cemetery, Taberg.
Bearers were George Schneible, Walter Fenton, Lawrence Kalk, Sr., Demoine Kirby, Henry Morse, Jr? Alfred Brown.

1693 Edith (nee LeMaster) Traw, 94 passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2017. She is preceded in death by her parents, Eldon and Nina (nee Bailey) LeMaster; siblings Rosa (Lawrence) Warren, Olive Danielson.
Edith is Survived by her children, Larry (Judy) Shepley of Essex, Ontario Canada, Cathy (Richard) Krumery of Wentzville, MO and Dennis (Diane) Traw of Swansea, IL; grandchildren Wendy (Tom) Valsic, Jeffrey (Paulette) Shepley, James (Carole) Shepley, Laura Krumrey, Richard (Tammy) Krumrey, Dustin Traw and Jesse (Kathryn) Traw; 9 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren.
Edith was a member of Cornerstone United Methodist Church of O'Fallon MO. She was a devoted Mother and Grandmother. Also, she loved her little dog Micky. She loved taking care of her flowers and watching birds.
Friends may visit on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Alexander-White-Mullen Funeral Home in St. Ann from 10:00 am until the time of service at noon. Interment will follow at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.

Edith B. (Banning) Cheever, 100, of Nashua, N.H., died Sunday, Jan. 22, 2006, at the Hunt Community. She was the wife of the late Wilbur E. Cheever.
She was born May 18, 1905, in Oakdale, the daughter of the late M. Parker and Edith (Abbott) Banning. She was a graduate of West Boylston High School in West Boylston, Class of 1924. Mrs. Cheever achieved her bachelor of arts degree from U.C.L.A. in 1928 and then her teaching certificate from U.C. in 1929. She had been a resident of Nashua for over 17 years, and previously lived in California and Lexington. She and her husband were high school classmates and married on June 26, 1931.
Mrs. Cheever was a teacher for Banning High School in Banning, Calif. and Redlands Junior High School in Redlands, Calif. She also taught for 20 years in Lexington, at the junior high school. She retired in September of 1966.
While residing in Lexington, she served on several town government projects, initiated the Pen Pal Program of AARP in three public schools, a coordinator of volunteers for the Historical Society, and was a 4-H leader for 10 years. She was an honorary member of Middlesex South Retired Teachers and a member of Retired Public Employees of Mass. Mrs. Cheever then moved to Nashua in 1988. In Nashua she became leader of the Knitting Group which makes clothing for local mothers and children in need. She was a member of RSVP, 55 Plus, and the Retired Teachers Association in Nashua and Massachusetts. She also was involved with the Nashua Senior Center.
Her honors over the years include 4-H Alumni Recognition Award for 10 years of service in 1953, the first Minute-Man Cane Award for 40 years of outstanding service to the town of Lexington in 1988, National Retired Teacher 50th Anniversary Retired Educator Award and Award-Winning Letter on Healthy Aging Contest by the U.S. Postal Service both in 1997, and Letter of Appreciation for Service for five years in National "Make A Difference Day" from President Clinton in 2000. She also helped her husband write over four English High School text books, "English for Every Use."
At one time, Mrs. Cheever was active in both Hancock Church and Pilgrim Congregational Church of Lexington, of which she was a founding member. In Nashua, she was an associate member of The First Church (Congregational) U.C.C.
She is survived by two sons, Wilbur D. Cheever and his wife, Kathryn, of Freeport, Maine, and David W. Cheever and his wife, Alba Lutz, of Columbia, S.A.; a daughter, Edith Hale Van Beek and her husband, John, of Ontario, Canada; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, David Norman Cheever and his wife, Vivian, of West Boylston; a sister-in-law, Mildred Loewen of Lodi, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Cheever was predeceased by her three sisters, a sister-in-law, Eleanor Welsh, and a brother-in-law, Delbert Loewen.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at the family’s convenience.

Entered into rest at the residence, of her daughter, Mrs. George W. Jones, 321 Ottawa St., Almonte, Ontario, on Tuesday, November 21, 1972, Edith Ethel Thompson, widow of David Munro. Born in Lanark Township on August 13, 1884, she was the last surviving member of the family of John Thompson and Mary Bain. Deceased sisters and brothers were; Martha Jane, Thomas, Daniel John, James, Welland, Laura, (Mrs. James Affleck) and Hilton. Endowed with a beautiful voice, she was a member of the Rosetta Church choir, while her sister Laura played the organ. On September 29, 1909, Edith married David Munro; they farmed on the third line of Ramsay Township. Mrs. Munro was an active member of the W.I. Her faith and outlook in living a life were such that she was always aware of others and anxious to render assistance in times of distress beyond the call of personal duty. Upon retirement in the Spring of 1952. Mr. and Mrs. Munro moved to the farm of their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Thom. From 1962 on, she spent her remaining years with her daughter Ila. She is survived by daughters Ila (Mrs. George W. Jones), Almonte; Kathleen (Mrs. Gordon Thom), R.R. 2, Almonte; and Lottie (Mrs. Wilbert Belford), Pakenham; and one son, D. Raymond, Toronto; also seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Her husband and one son, Hilton Elswood, predeceased her. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. R. V. Brown, Almonte Baptist Church, from the Comba Funeral Home, with Mr. Charles Tate rendering the solo "How great thou art." Interment Clayton United Cemetery. Pallbearers were five grandsons; Bill Belford, David Thom, Donald Thom, Mac Thom and Bert Thom, and a former neighbour's son, Charles Rath. The messages of sympathy, floral tributes and donations to the Bible Society and Heart Fund were an expression of the esteem in which she was held.

1697 Edith M. LaBrode, 76, of 109 Euclid Ave. died yesterday at Hillcrest Commons, where she had been a patient for less than two months.
Born in Pittsfield on Aug. 7, 1924, daughter of William J. and Catherine McQuatt Goddard, she was a 1941 graduate of Pittsfield High School and a 1942 graduate of Berkshire Business College.
Mrs. LaBrode was employed by the House of Mercy and Pittsfield General Hospital at various times from the 1940s through 1960s. From 1970 until 1985, she was employed by Berkshire Medical Center in the medical library.
She was a member of First Church of Christ Congregational. She enjoyed reading and was presented a plaque by the Berkshire Athenaeum in 1995 for borrowing the most books. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles and knitting.
She leaves her husband, Robert D. LaBrode, whom she married May 17, 1947; three sons, Robert D. LaBrode of Savoy, Peter J. LaBrode of Fort Worth, Texas, and David P. LaBrode of Haverhill; a sister, Gladys King of Pittsfield; three grandchildren, and a great-grandson.
The funeral will be Saturday at 10 at WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME in Pittsfield, with the Rev. Dr. Richard F. Floyd, pastor of First Church of Christ, Congregational, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be today, Friday, from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to either the American Cancer Society, the Salvation Army or HospiceCare in the Berkshires.

1700 Edith W. (Runyan) Bangle, 84, 1421 E. 30th St., died Friday at St. John?s Medical Center following an extended illness.
She was a resident of Anderson. She was also head telephone operator at Delco Remy, and retired in 1955 after 39 years of service. She was a member of the Colonial United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Clarence Bangle; two sons, Melvin Runyan of Anderson and Lawrence Runyan of Phoenix, Ariz.; a daughter, Charlotte Mabbitt of Florida; and several grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Robert D. Loose Funeral Home with the Rev. Churchill Cox officiating. Burial will follow in Grovelawn Cemetery in Pendleton.
Friens may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
