101 Alice Hall: Many friends gathered at the Brockie Donovan Chapel Thursday afternoon to pay last respects to the memory of the late Miss Alice Hall, whose death occurred in this City. The Rev. E. E. Austin of Bethel Temple officiated at Chapel and committal services. Interment was in Brandon Cemetery.

102 Alice Hall: The death of Miss Alice Hall of 539 - 2nd Street occurred in the city Monday night. She was born in Cumberland Township, Russell County, Ont. The late Miss Hall came to Manitoba in1895 and settled with her family in the Belmont district, remaining there until her retirement to Brandon in 1946. Surviving are one brother and two sisters, George Hall, Brandon; Mrs. R. Smith and Mrs. T. McClay, also of Brandon. Funeral service will be held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be in lawn section of Brandon Cemetery.

103 Alice Jane (Call) Banning, beloved wife of Irving Banning, of South Newfane, VT, passed away May 21, 2015 at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH. She was born in Bennington, NH on January 30, 1935, daughter of the late Theodore and Gertrude (Cody) Call. During World War II, her family moved to Glastonbury, CT, where she and Irving met while attending Glastonbury High School. After graduation and later his return from serving in the Marines, she married Irving, the love of her life. She became a very devoted mother and grandmother who loved and cared for her family unconditionally. Favorite pastimes included cooking, baking, gardening, and sharing her recipes. Alice lived her spirituality daily, inspiring her children and all who knew her. A cherished memory for her was vacationing in Ireland with Irving in their later years. She was an active member of St. Michael's Parish in Brattleboro VT, attending weekly mass and observing holy days. Besides her husband, Alice leaves four children and their spouses, Kevin and Jan Banning of Clinton, Kathleen and Barry Beeman of Pinehurst, NC, William Banning and Gina Lauzier of Manchester, Linda Krikawa of Bloomfield and eight grandchildren: Alicyn Beeman, William Banning, Jr, Jessica Banning, Margaret Banning, Bruce Lauzier, Evan Lauzier, Katherine Krikawa and Connor Krikawa. She is also survived by a brother and two sisters, Glenn Call and his wife Helene of Worcester, MA, Patricia (Call) Fusco and her husband Thomas of Marlboro, VT, Kathleen Call of Manchester and many beloved nieces and nephews. Alice was predeceased by two sisters, Constance Botticello and Gertrude Clark; three brothers, Richard, Ronald and Vernon Call and a beloved son-in-law, Thomas Krikawa. Friends may call on the family Thursday May 28, 2015 from 9:30 - 10:30 am at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Naubuc Ave., Glastonbury. 104 Alice Josephine (Banning) Forbes, 50, of East Hampton, beloved wife of John R. Forbes III, died Thursday Feb. 23rd after a courageous battle with cancer. Born March 27, 1961 in Middletown she was the daughter of the late Robert and Judith (Staplins) Banning. Alice grew up in East Hampton and was a lifelong resident. Alice's first love was her family. She adored her children and her grandkids meant the world to her. She enjoyed holiday and birthday gatherings and getting the entire family together. When the whole family wasn't available, Alice lived to ride on the back of a Harley Davidson motorcycle with her husband, Jack. She was known by all for her love of Disney's Tinker Bell and her sassy, never back down attitude. You could always find Alice holding a bottle of Pepsi. She lived life to the fullest and never had any regrets. Besides her husband John, she is survived by her son John R. Forbes IV of Vernon, her daughter Jamie Urban and her husband Scott of Vernon, two step daughters Janice Beardsley and Elise Forbes, four brothers Robert Banning of Marlborough, John Banning of East Hampton, Paul Banning of East Hampton, Edwin Banning of Portland, three cherished grandchildren Melissa, Autumn, and William, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Frank Banning. Funeral services will be held Monday Feb. 27th at 11AM in the Spencer Funeral Home 112 main St. East Hampton. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday morning from 10AM until the time of the service. 105 Alice L. Chappell, 80, of 246 Music Vale Road, Salem, died Monday at Harrington Court in Colchester.
She was born July 22, 1925 in New London, the daughter of John H. and Christian Rae Buell.
Mrs. Chappell attended Chapman Technical School and was the class valedictorian in 1943. While in school she had worked at Miss Prescott's Bake Shop and then at Vogt's Bakery. During the World War II she worked at Electric Boat in Groton and then was a clerical worker for Metropolitan Life Insurance in New London.
She married Arnold M. Chappell Sr. at the Huntington Street Baptist Church in New London on Sept. 26, 1956.
In addition to her husband Arnold, she is survived by a son, Arnold M. Chappell Jr., of Salem; a daughter, Christine B. Brooks, of Plainfield; a brother, Richard Buell, of Norwell, Mass.; and seven grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at noon on Friday at the Jordan Cemetery, Waterford. There are no calling hours.

Alice Lukian, age 83, passed away peacefully on the morning of November 30, 2007 with her family by her side.
She is survived by her husband Dave McDermid, her daughter Bonnie Wing (Gordon Coffey) of Vancouver, brothers Nick (Rose) Kurulak of Kamloops, John (Ella) Kurulak of Nanaimo, Andrew Kurulak of Winnipeg, and sister Georgina Danyluk of Winnipeg. She is also survived by Jim (Glenda) McDermid of Ottawa, Arthur (Helen) McDermid of Owen Sound, Debbie (Bevan) Warren, Kerry (Erma) McDermid, and Mark McDermid, all of Fort McMurray, Kelly (Karin) McDermid of Athabasca, Jamie (Lisa) McDermid of Edmonton, Greg McDermid of Hairy Hills Alberta, Kim (Ray) Lurz of Pennsylvania, and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
One of thirteen children, Alice was born in Stenen, Saskatchewan, but spent most of her life in the Kamloops area. She was a high energy person who truly loved to serve others. A humble but extraordinary woman, she was loved by many.
Prayers and viewing to be at 7:00 pm, December 9 in the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of All Saints, 1044-8th St, North Kamloops. Tea to follow.
The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on the following day, Monday, Dec 10 in the Church. Burial at Hillside Cemetery. Luncheon to follow at the church.
In lieu of flowers, please send your donations in memory of Alice to the Kamloops Hospice Association, 72 Whiteshield Crescent S, Kamloops BC V2E 2S9. A hospice donation box will also be at the church during the evening prayers, funeral, and luncheon.

107 Alice M. Kane, 83, Spearfish, died Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010, at Dorsett Regional Senior Care in Spearfish.
Christian vigil services were at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Spearfish. Mass of Christian Burial was at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 8, 2010, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Spearfish with the Rev. Tim Hoag as celebrant. Burial was at Black Hills National Cemetery.
Alice was born Oct. 15, 1926, to Hoyt and Sarah (Cavin) Gartley in Harding County. She moved with her family to Butte County for a few years before returning to Harding County, where she attended school and graduated from Harding County High School in Buffalo. Alice then attended Black Hills State Teachers College and received a bachelor?s degree in education. She married Doyle ?Jack? Kirkpatrick in 1948. The couple later divorced. Alice taught school in Harding County, Belle Fourche and Spearfish, retiring after 38 years. She was awarded ?Outstanding Social Studies Teacher of the Year? in 1983. Alice married Joe Kane in the early 1980s. The couple made their home in Spearfish. Alice was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, V.F.W. Auxiliary, Delta Kappa Gamma and Modern Mothers Club.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph "Joe" Kane, Spearfish; two daughters, Sharon (Paul) Kirkpatrick-Sanchez, Whitewood, and Jean Kay Kane, New Jersey; step-son, Dick Kane, Delaware; brother, William (Sue) Gartley, Michigan; step-brother, Forrest (Patti) Giannonatti, Minnesota; step-sister, Bub Jackson, Minnesota; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one step-son, Ron Kane.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to benefit St. Joseph Catholic Church in Spearfish.
Arrangements are under the care of Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapels & Crematory Service of Spearfish.

108 Alice Marie Bulanda (Cole), age 78 of Grandville, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, February 13, 2010. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lafayette and Marie Cole, two brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Jack; her children, Dan and Margaret Foreman, Bonnie and Rudy Purins (Aleksandris and Briarlyn), Brian and Stephanie Bulanda (Christopher and Taylor); and many nieces and nephews. 111 Alice Price, 91, of Charlotte, NC, formerly of Manahawkin, NJ, died peacefully on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at her home at Brookdale Place in South Charlotte, NC. She was born to William and Hattie Pepper in Syracuse NY, on August 23, 1924. During WW2 Alice worked at L.C. Smith and later at New England Medical Center in Boston, MA. Alice loved her husband, family, friends, and a good party. She loved to play bridge, especially with the "Golden Girls" in Freehold, NJ, where she was also a member of the Molly Pitcher Women's Club. She traveled to Paris and London and loved to read, bake pies, decorate, and to get dressed up her mink coat! She is predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Floyd (Doc) Price, her son Edward Price. She is survived by her daughters; Judith (Jack) Tracy, Charlotte, NC, Lorraine (Petr) Kuzma, Princeton, NJ, Michelle (Todd) Tuttle, Charlotte, NC; daughter-in-law Marion (Edward) Price, Manahawkin, NJ; grandchildren, Carl Alexander, Tracy, CA, Alouette Alexander, Duxbury, MA, and Christopher Morgan, Charlotte, NC; and her sister Emma Tinkham, Scotia, NY. She also leaves great-grandchildren Tyler and Macy, Duxbury, MA. There will be a celebration of her life and prayer service in New Jersey for immediate family at a later date. 120 Alice V. Jobson, of West Simsbury, wife of Richard S. Jobson, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 27, 2016 at her home. She was born in Hartford to the late Michael and Agnes Verbonick and graduated from Bulkeley High School. She had many fond memories of growing up in Hartford, especially Saturday night dances and working at Hueblein Distillery. Alice was a resident of Simsbury for nearly 60 years where she enjoyed gardening and travelling with Richard during their retirement years. She took great pride in caring for her home, but her family was most important. Alice is survived by her son David Jobson of West Simsbury; her daughter Margaret Crofton and her husband Edward of Simsbury; her sisters Rose Millman and Margaret Hughes; her granddaughters Kathryn and Maggie, and her three great-grandsons. Mr. Ayerst was born in Ontario and lived most of his life in Acapulco, Mexico. He moved to Yelm several months ago.
He was a retired real estate broker.
He was a Methodist and the member of a number of Masonic organizations.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Ayerst of Acapulco.

147 ALLEN GARFIELD BARTLEY On Tuesday, January 3, 2006, at Carman Memorial Hospital, Allen Garfield Bartley passed away peacefully with family at his bedside. Allen was born April 20, 1919, at Carman, MB, the third son to Byron Garfield and Winnifred Myrtle Bartley. He is survived by his daughter Lynne Fullerton of Edmonton, AB; his sisters, Myrtle Young of Miami and Trudy Svoboda of Carman, MB; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Mary (McClay) Bartley; his infant daughter Terry Lynn; and his son Ronald Allen. Allen was also predeceased by his brothers, Gorden, Harvey and David. Allen grew up on the family farm West of Roland, leaving home at a young age to take up a career in semi-truck driving. He traveled many miles across Canada and the USA for more than 30 years. During these years he shared his life with his wife Mary of 59 years and their daughter Lynne, living most of their married life in Chilliwack, BC, where he and Mary had many close friends. After Mary's passing in 2004, Allen returned to Carman to be closer to family. He resided in Parkview Manor until his passing. It was Allen's request that there would not be a funeral service. Interment of ashes will be in Brandon where he will join his wife Mary and son Ron. If friends and family so desire, in memory of Allen, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. 148 ALLEN RICE of Salado, Texas, formerly of Houston, passed away peacefully at Stanford Hospital in Palo Alto, California.He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Rita Mills; his daughters Emily Foley and Stephanie Caldwell and by his mother, Lula V. Rice. He is also survived by six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.A memorial service was held at Salado United Methodist Church. 149 Alma Faye Dunlap Sinclair, 93, of Amarillo, died Saturday, April 22, 2000. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Colonial Funeral Chapel, 1010 W. Ninth Ave., with Dr. John Bridwell officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Sinclair was born in Sherman. She moved to Amarillo in 1998 from San Francisco. She was a homemaker and had worked as a milliner. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She married James W. Sinclair in 1970 at Reno, Nev. He died in 1994. Survivors include four daughters, Cloe Teal Dunlap Michelini, Maye Dunlap Fisher, Winnie Shockley Spears and Gladys Shockley Underwood, all of Amarillo; a sister, Sarah "Sallie" Casstevens of Pacoima, Calif.; six grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-greatgrandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Cal Farley's Boys Ranch. The family will receive visitors from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Powassan: The funeral for Mrs. Alma Wilaven McConnell (nee Brown) was conducted by Rev. Judith Hare in the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan, on Monday, October 2, 1989. Mrs. Shirley Moore sang "Amazing Grace" accompanied on the organ by her son Andrew Scinto.
Casket bearers were Charlie McConnell, Ivan Brown, Rick Blackall, Bill Cole, Robert Brown and Joey Astgen. The Honour Guard was formed by friends from the Silver Crescent Women's Institute of which Alma was a member.
Interment took place in the Powassan Union Cemetery.
Alma McConnell died Friday, September 29, in the Sudbury Laurentian Hospital in her 70th year.
She was the beloved wife of the late Harvey James McConnell; a loving mother of Gordon and his wife Judy, Sudbury; Kenneth and his wife Rudith, Thamesford; dear sister of Eddie Brown and his wife Dolly, Powassan, Margaret and her husband Doug Hubacheck, South River, Oliver Brown and his wife Jessie, Norwood; dear step-sister of Jerry Brown, South River, Kathy Brown, North Bay and Keith Brown, Rutherglen. Remembered by seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and many neices and nephews.
Alma Brown was born in Gore Bay on Manitoulin Island to William and Florence Brown, and in 1929 moved to Powassan. She met and married Harvey McConnell in 1937. In 1978 Harvey died and Alma continued to live in the Powassan area until May of this year, when she moved to Westmount Retirement Home in Sudbury. There, although she had been ill for many years, Alma lived a life of dignity in a comfortable, friendly environment.
She will be remembered for her joy of crafts, including knitting, crocheting, sewing, ceramics and flowers. Alma loved her children and grandchildren very much and was always, despite failing health, able to help those in need.
