Richard David Kotecki Sr., 74, of New London, died on Thursday, Aug. 20, 2009, surrounded by his loving family at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital in New London.
Born July 31, 1935, in Norwich, he was the son of the late Charles Kotecki and Sophie (Pureda) Kotecki.
He was the husband of Barbara (Hamler) Kotecki, whom he married on Nov. 27, 1954, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in New London.
He was employed by City Of New London for 34 years as a truck driver as well as a custodian. Richard proudly defended workers rights throughout his employment with the City of New London serving for over 30 years as president of Local 1378 of the American Federation of State County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) which represents public work employees throughout the city. He also served as an officer for the Southeastern Connecticut Labor Council. Richard dedicated his life to public service working on all of the many Charter Revision Commissions for the City of New London throughout the past 25 years. Most recently he assisted as a member of the City of New London Water Commission. Richard's previous associations included membership with the City's Democratic Town Committee as well as a member of the City of New London's Affirmative Action Committee.
Richard's hobbies included fishing with his sons and cooking breakfast every Sunday morning for his family. He also enjoyed working in his garden and was always willing to share its generous bounty with friends and family.
In addition to his beloved wife of 54 years, he is survived by his loving sons, Richard David Kotecki Jr. of Griswold, Jeffrey Kotecki of Niantic, Greg Kotecki of Ledyard, and David Kotecki of Quaker Hill; a brother, Charles Kotecki of Ledyard; a sister, Delores "Dee" Thorp; six grandchildren, three step grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren.
The funeral will assemble at 9:15 a.m. on Tuesday at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Ocean Ave., New London and proceed to St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, Huntington St., New London, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Jefferson Ave., New London. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 24, 2009, at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Ocean Ave., New London.

Richard David Shea Sr. age 88, died October 17, 2007. Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great grandfather and uncle. Born September 6, 1919 in Mason City, Nebraska to David C. and Mabel Armagost Shea. Married Nondus Budge, February 14, 1942 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was converted to the LDS Church and baptized January 5, 1957. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple March 23, 1959.
Dad was a man of faith, integrity, honor, love and service. He lived in Salt Lake City and Bountiful for most of his life.
Dad began his civil service career on August 11, 1941 at Hill AFB. He entered military service June 3, 1942 after graduating from AAF OCS. Served in WWII and in Japan during the Korean Conflict. He spent nearly 37 years in military service with 31 of those in the Utah Air National Guard where he was Chief of Supply & Services. Dad was very proud of his military service and retired June 30, 1978 with the rank of Lt Colonel.
He served as both an employee and a service missionary for LDS Welfare Services where he was instrumental in creating the Spearhead Disaster Relief Units at Bishop Storehouses nationwide.
Served in numerous positions in the Church from his baptism to his passing, including 3 times as a Bishop, a Counselor in the Salt Lake Stake Presidency and High Councilman. He loved to serve the Lord and found great joy in that service.
Survived by: daughter Patricia S. Casillas and husband Jorge, Salt Lake City. Daughter-in-law, Sandra Shea, Salt Lake City, son Michael B. Shea and wife Deena of Covington, WA. 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Preceded in death by wife Nondus, son Richard D. Shea Jr and brother William C. Shea.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday October, 25, 2007 at the Ensign 2nd Ward 135 N. A. Street, Salt Lake City. Friends may call Wednesday October 24 from 6-8pm at Lindquist's Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. and Thursday 9:45-10:45am at the church prior to the services.

RICHARD EVANS (1949) - Numerous relatives, friends and citizens gathered, on Thursday, November 24th to pay final tribute to Richard Evans, a life-long resident of the Pakenham district, who died at his home on Tuesday after a short, illness. Mr. Evans was born at Cedar Hill, the only son of the late George Evans and his wife, Mary Tomblinson. He resided on the homestead until 30 years ago when he moved to his farm, two miles from Pakenham village. He was in his 67th year, The funeral which took place from his late home to St. Mark's Anglican Church was conducted by Rev. Canon Carryer. Pallbearers were Messrs. G. Moreton, Horace Cavanagh, Mae Dodge, Ernie Millar, Clarence Raycroft and Lloyd Dickson. A host of beautiful floral tributes testified to the high esteem in which he was held by fellow citizens. Chief mourners are his widow, the former Christena Raycroft, two daughters, Edith, Mrs. Everett Hewitt, Pakenham; Christabel, Mrs. A. Richard F. ?Stick", ?Dick?, Budney, age 87, of Ivoryton, passed away on April 23, 2018 at Hartford Hospital with his loving wife Dolores by his side. He was born in Middletown on November 5, 1930 the son of the late Frank and Jennie (Gustoski) Budney. He leaves behind his wife of 60 years Dolores (Banning) Budney, his daughter Diane Belval and her husband Stephen, and granddaughter Megan Giamei. He was predeceased by his son Paul R. Budney on March 14, 2017. He also leaves behind his brother, Walter R. Budney of Ivoryton and his sister, Lorraine B. Flanagan of Melbourne Beach, FL and several nieces and nephews. Dick was a graduate of Pratt High School in Essex and served with the United States Army during the Occupation in Japan. He was a veteran of both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He retired from the US Army, a National Guard Technician, and a Deputy Sheriff of the Middlesex Court. He was a Past Commander and Life Member of the Essex Veterans of Foreign Wars, a Life Member of the Knights of Columbus in Old Saybrook, the Polish Falcons of America, and the Interstate Police Officers Assoc. He was also a Past President and member of the Essex Lions Club, member of Essex Veterans Memorial Hall and a communicant of Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Essex. Visitation will be held at the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main Street in Centerbrook on Monday, April 30, 2018 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM. Richard J. Bohnert Sr., 83, of Delray Beach, FL formerly of Monmouth Beach passed away Wednesday February 2nd surrounded by his family.
Richard was born and raised in Long Branch and graduated from Long Branch High School in 1958. He was a paid fireman for Oliver Byron Fire Company and served his country honorably from 1962-1968. He was co-owner of B&W Trucking Company and Tinton Falls Contracting before retiring. He was previously a board member and past President for Shore Regional High School Board of Education, and a board member for the Ronald McDonald house. He loved watching his children and grandchildren play all their sports growing up. In addition, he enjoyed watching Yankee Baseball and Villanova Basketball surrounded by his numerous pets which he had throughout his life.
Richard is predeceased by his parents Joseph and Helen (Hoyt) Bohnert; his sister, Cynthia Townsend and his Grandson, Jon Carlos.
Richard is survived by his wife of 60 years Elizabeth Bohnert; his sister, Betty Juliano; his children Richard Bohnert Jr and Kevin Bohnert; daughter in law Karen and his beloved grandchildren RJ, Morgan and Hayley Bohnert, and his nieces and nephews.

Richard Lee Benkowski, 59, died July 5, 2020. Rick was born on September 28, 1960 to Herbert and Orma (Lee) Benkowski.
He graduated Lakeview High School in 1978, where he was inspired by his teacher Peter Hardisty. He worked at Bill's Business Machines, before attending Confederation College where he studied to be an Electronics Computer Control Technician. He made a life-long friend of his teacher Bill Faconia.
Rick was employed at Thunder Bay Hydro and Digital Engineering, where he enjoyed the work and the great team environment. He then spent 27 years at Bombardier working in Thunder Bay, Florida, Colorado, and Boston, retiring in 2019.
While in Boston, he met Shari Koehne, whom he married in 1989. They had two children, Ke?ala and Kyle, whom he valued and loved above everything. Shari and Rick separated in 1993.
He met Marsha Reinikka in 1995 and spent the next 25 years with her, through many ups and downs and with varying proximity. Through that relationship, he acquired three more children: Cy, Jessica, and Madeline. Marsha was Rick's person and they were married May 22, 2020 to honour that bond.
Rick loved electronics of all kinds and as a hobby he created software devices for Bombardier to help with the testing procedures that he worked on. He loved camping and enjoyed many years at his beloved camp at Chippewa and later at Marsha's camp at Clover Beach.
Rick loved the Madhouse and rarely missed his twice weekly visits with the staff and his buddies. He valued their time together.
Rick was diagnosed with cancer in September 2017. Marsha, the children, and his friends provided support, food, and care. Excellent nursing and personal support were provided by St. Elizabeth Health Care.
He chose Medical Assistance in Death when life was no longer tenable. We want to thank Dr. Chan and Dr. Haggarty, Paul Carrier, and especially Dr. Kevin Bezanson who was our rock during the final stages of Rick's cancer. He kept us well informed, supported us throughout, and was with us until the end.
MAiD is not readily accessible in Thunder Bay because we have so few providers who will do the procedure. We want to specifically thank Dr. Turner, who came in on his day off to help end the pain for Rick. Thank you so much. You were an angel to us.
Rick was predeceased by his parents Orma in 1974 and Herbert in 1996. Left to mourn are his siblings Sandra and Randy; his brother Robert (Mark) (Kokomo, Indiana) who supported and travelled with him during his final years; his children Ke'ala and Kyle (Jenny); his step-children Cy, Jessica, and Madeline (Michael); his grand-children Everly and Arthur; his best friend Marsha; and the many people who called him their friend.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions we have chosen not to have a public gathering; but, please, raise a glass to celebrate Rick and be with us in spirit.

Born in Rush City, MN, Mr. Markham lived in DE since 1937. He was a chemical engineer at the duPont Company for 40 years, retiring in 1977. Richard Neilson Willey, 83, of Huntsville passed away on Monday at Floyd E. "Tut" Fann Home for Veterans.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Huntsville chapel of Spry Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services.
Richard moved to Huntsville in 1963 and worked as an aerospace engineer. He later became a business owner of Mister Donut. Richard also owned several rental properties.
Richard is survived by his wife, Elsie Herter Willey; his children, Richard Nielson Willey Jr., Kathryn Cook and Ethan Allen Willey; his twin brother, Robert Willey; brother, Herbert Willey Jr.; and grandchildren, Daniel Scott Wheeler and Andrew Mitchell Cook.

Richard S. Jobson, 84, of West Simsbury, died Wednesday, (September 5, 2007) at Governor's House in Simsbury. Born in Wethersfield, he was the son of the late Archie and Marjorie (Wiley) Jobson. He graduated from Wethersfield High School and attended Vermont Junior College. Richard leaves his wife of 58 years, Alice (Verbonick) Jobson. In addition, he is survived by his son, David Jobson, of Simsbury; his daughter, Margaret Crofton and her husband, Edward, of Simsbury; and his brother, John, of Colorado. "Pops" will also be missed by his granddaughters, Kathryn Crofton, of New Haven, Maggie Crofton, of Simsbury, and his great-grandson, Dade Crofton, of Simsbury. Richard proudly served in the Navy during World War II. He retired from SNET in 1981. Richard was an avid fan of the Red Sox, the Celtics, and Simsbury Slow-Pitch Softball. Richard was rarely idle and he will be remembered for many years through the beautiful hand-made furniture, wood carvings, stained-glass pieces, and ship models he created. Richard"Dick" M. Warner, 67, of Harness Dr., Meriden, beloved husband of Suzanne (Dobbin) Warner, lost his battle to cancer on Thursday, (December 13, 2007) at Middlesex Hospital. He was born in Middletown, the son of the late Joseph and Alma (Thompson) Warner. Dick was self-employed providing mechanical inspections throughout Connecticut. Richard, age 91, passed away, Tuesday, February 16, 2010. He was born in Battle Creek, Michigan, August 8, 1918, the son of Louis and Gladys Boos. Richard graduated from Marshall High School and General Motors Institute now known as Kettering Institute, Flint, MI. He retired from the Oldsmobile Division of GM as supervisor of manufacturing engineering. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
Preceded in death by his parents and his brother Louis, he is survived by his wife, Anna, lovingly sharing 67 years of marriage. He also leaves behind many loving friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 5589 Van Atta, Haslett, MI. Born in Canada, Mr. Price lived in Massena, N.Y., and Long Island, N.Y., before moving to Ringwood in 1976. He was a store manager for Shop Rite Liquors, Englewood, for 15 years before retiring in 2002. Also, he was a parishioner of St. Catherine's R.C. Church, Ringwood, and a member of St. Catherine's Knights of Columbus. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War as well.

It is with deep sadness that the family of Kristal Lena Rintoul announce her untimely passing after a tragic vehicle accident on May 17, 2009. Rita Doreen Meunier (née Paul) December 14, 1929 ? March 30, 2019 Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Passed away peacefully at the Montfort hospital, surrounded with love, at the age of 89. She is survived by her loving husband Jack and children, Jean Paul (Nicole), Jeannette (Michel Verdon) and Louise (Andre Seguin); grandchildren Tania (Remi Gauvreau), Josee (Jonathan Raymond), Natalie (James Chu), Mélanie (Michael Dean) and Stephanie (Basim Muzib); great-grandchildren Félix, Cédric, Jack, Vimy and Lindy and her sisters, Isabel and Gail. Predeceased by her granddaughter Lora; her parents Mildred and Napoleon Paul, her sisters Clara, Rose, Eileen, Yvonne, Irene, Patricia; her brothers Emmett and Sonny (Willis). Rita grew up feisty and strong and kept us all laughing into tears with stories of her life. Her compassion and care for those around her are a comforting memory alongside her tolerance for the animals that have wormed their way into her heart as she lovingly devoted her life to her family. We will always remember her tear filled eyes as she laughed while recounting stories, her tenacity at the bingo halls and her giving spirit whenever you were in need. We will miss her with all our hearts. Many thanks to the staff at the Montfort Hospital for their excellent care. Although Rita loved to tell her stories and gather with family and friends, per her wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private gathering for immediate family members will be held at a later date to celebrate her life. We all know how much Rita loved her garden and garage sales, so all who wish to honour her life are invited to plant some geraniums and tour the garage sales this spring with her in mind. Rob is survived by his daughters Steffanie (Johnathon) Payne of Lethbridge and Kalesta and Madyson Bailey of Taber; his mother Sharon Bailey of Taber; sister Darla Bailey and her children Tyson and Dylan Bailey of Medicine Hat; grandmother Jessie Dunsmore of Innisfail; special cousin Kelli Cook of Taber; long time friend Andrea Born of Taber and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
You fought a long hard battle, but cancer won. Rest in peace Rob, you will be greatly missed.

Robert "Bob the Barber" Castle, I, age 91, of Troy, Michigan died June 23, 2013.
He is survived by his children, Robert E. II (Tina) and Maria (Steve Ehrman) King. Also five grandchildren, Ian, Michael, Bryan, Sarah and Leah; great-grandson, Eathan and his sibling Don (Mildred) Castle.
Preceded in death by his wife, Margaret, July 18, 1986.
He was a US Army Veteran of WWII and the owner of Bob's Barber Shop in Clawson.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 25th and Thursday, June 26th from 4-9 pm at Gramer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main Street, Clawson, MI 48017.

Robert "Bob" Maxfield, age 88, of Sheboygan Falls passed away Thursday afternoon January 21, 2021. Bob was born February 10, 1932 to the late Robert and Alice (Jaworski) Maxfield. He attended Sheboygan schools and was a 1951 graduate of Central High School. Following high school, he was united in marriage to the former Lois Dunn on May 24, 1952 at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church in Sheboygan. Bob proudly served his country in the National Guard. Bob had a strong work ethic, owning and operating Bob Maxfield Construction for many years. He enjoyed camping, hiking, spending winters in Arizona and traveling in their RV all over the United States. His family cherishes the memories from time spent up north at the cottage, especially with the grandchildren.
Survivors include his loving wife Lois, children: Mary (Dave) Schroeder of Elkhart Lake, Debbie (Jim) Rittenhouse of Campbellsport, Terry (Jim) Mahler of Campbellsport and Bob (Judy) Maxfield of Belgium, WI, and a foster daughter Barb (Steve) Schmitz of Dunkerton, IA, grandchildren: Brian Schroeder, Eric Schroeder, Tina Rautmann, Jamie Rittenhouse, Jenny Bretz, Josh Rittenhouse, Jolene Pieper, Mike Mahler, Katie Rodriguez, Bob Maxfield and Hannah Maxfield, 30 great-grandchildren, and a sister Audrea Tauscheck of Avon Park, FL.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents.
A visitation will be held at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 327 Giddings Ave., Sheboygan Falls, on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 12 noon. Fr. Joe Dominic will officiate. The burial will follow in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Sheboygan. Social distancing will be observed and masks are required.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Bob's name.

Robert ?Bob? Carroll McCauley, 86, of Holden, passed away peacefully in the presence of his loving family on Friday, November 29, 2013. Bob was born in Holden, one of 11 children to William and Elva (Elliott) McCauley.
He was a proud U.S. Navy veteran of both World War II and the Korean conflict serving as a Petty Officer 2nd Class aboard the USS Allagash in the South Pacific and as a Ships Serviceman 3rd Class aboard the USS Rockwall until 1951. He worked at Norton Company in Worcester for 35 years, retiring in 1989. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Holden where is also served as sexton for over 25 years. He was a volunteer at the Wachusett Food Pantry and was a former Webelos Scout Leader in Holden.
Bob adored his grandchildren and they affectionately referred to him as ?Rocky?. He will be remembered for his enduring work ethic and selfless nature.
He leaves his beloved wife of 64 years, Ruth (Wilson) McCauley; three daughters, Mary Jean ?Binky? McCauley Lemire and her husband the Honorable James R. Lemire of Paxton, Bonnie McCauley Gannon and Carole McCauley McGrath, both of Holden; a son, Kevin McCauley and his wife Benita of Gilmanton, NH; five siblings, Cecile McCauley of Worcester, Daniel and Donald McCauley, both of Holden, Kenneth McCauley of Hubbardston and Helen Breault of Winchendon; his six grandchildren, Justin and Travis McCauley, Jesslyn Paquette, Sean Gannon, Robert McCauley Lemire and Michael James Lemire; five great-grandchildren; many nephews and nieces, and his cat Tabby. Three sisters, Ruth McGuire, Agnes Riccardi and Bess Snyder, and two brothers, William and Winfred McCauley, predeceased him.
In remembrance of Bob?s life, a memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 4, at the First Baptist Church, Holden. Interment will be private at Pine Grove Cemetery in Boylston. Robert ?Bob? George Bates, age 88, of Kalkaska, Michigan passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at The Laurels of Goshen. Bob was born to Ralph and Elma Lorna Bates on September 15, 1934 in Luther, MI.
Bob honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. He worked as a field operation data management officer for Consumers Power. He enjoyed working on classic cars, building race cars, and simply riding on his motorcycle. He also enjoyed building things from the frame up, from garages, buildings, campers and even model airplanes. His favorite time was the time he spent with his family and his friends.
Bob is survived by his children, Brenda (Chuck) Miller of Bristol, IN., Robert Allen (Dawn) Bates of Middlebury, IN., and Thomas Ralph Bates of Shipshewana, IN; 14 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 1 great-grandson; siblings, Donald Bates of Michigan, Lorna Jean Miller of Michigan, Marian Teachout of Michigan and Merl Bates of Michigan; and the mother of his children Ruthie Ann Pelcher. Bob was preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Alma Bates, his sisters Ruth Ann Myers, Arlene Schull and Norma Parsons.

Robert A. Olsen, 75, of Pacific Junction, died July 9, 2004, and his wife, Elsie M. Olsen, 73, died July 24, 2004. A joint memorial service was held July 29, 2004, at Heafey-Heafey-Hoffman-Dworak-Cutler Mortuary in Omaha. Burial was at the Waubonsie Cemetery.

Robert A. Parsons Grand Ledge Mr. Robert A. Parsons, 81, our beloved and devoted father, grandfather and friend passed away with his family beside him on January 16, 2012. Robert was born April 29, 1930 in Ionia, MI, son of Newton and Elise (Loveless) Parsons. He was a retired employee of Fisher Body; a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the U.S. Army, and also a member of the Crossroads Community Church. He loved to eat at Sophia's; enjoyed building clocks, and had the greatest sense of humor. Survivors include his daughters: Roxanne Rappuhn of Grand Ledge, Melinda (David) Soule of Greenville and Pamela (Wayne Stine) Carpenter of Vermontville, 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Norma (2009), son Manley Parsons (2009), daughter Theresa Parsons (2006), grandson Bradley Rappuhn (2010), 4 brothers and 4 sisters. A special thank you to granddaughter Emily, sister-in-law Marion Teachout and stray-daughter Angie (Jason) Stevens. Robert Bruce Fraser Crawford of Listowel and formerly of Moorefield passed away peacefully at Grand River Hospital, Kitchener, on Wednesday, February 4, 2009 in his 55th year.
Son of the late Robert "Bob" Crawford (2000) and Norma Isabel (Ayerst) Crawford (2008). Loved brother of Janice Holmes and her husband Michael Poirier of R.R. #3 Moorefield. Fondly remembered by his aunt Doris Mary Friedmann of Oakville; best friends Lloyd Schneider; Brenda Brown; Kevin Giles and Amy Lamont, Emily and Michelle; as well as many cousins.

Robert Bruce Shulters, 92, died Jan. 12, 2010, at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach. He was born in Prairieville Township, Mich., and lived in Fort Pierce for 20 years, coming from Batavia, Ill. He graduated from University of Michigan with a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering. He worked for Gardner Denver in Michigan and Thor Power Tools in Illinois. He was of the Christian faith. He was a member of Indian Pines Investment Club and Golf Club. Survivors include his daughter, Marcia Lynn Shulters of Fort Pierce; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gayle Lucille Shulters; sister, Virginia Standish; and brother, Donald Shulters. Robert Caryl Binns, age 79 of Adrian, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2014 at Grand Court in Adrian.
He was surrounded by his wife and step-children. He was born April 17, 1935, in Rollin Township to Roger and Francis (McKee) Binns. He lived in Morenci, before moving to Tecumseh, where he graduated in 1953. he attended Northern Michigan Tech college, Eastern College and received his B.S. degree. He was a Chemist. He served 2 years in the U.S. Army in 1956. Bob married Lenore Derbershire in 1958. That marriage dissolved in 1992.
Bob married Norma (Bilby) Wonderly on Feb. 13, 1999, in Tecumseh. Bob was an avid bicyclist. He has ridden over 50,000 miles in the past 7 years, and riding his bike from home to Colorado, pulling a 40 pound trailer. He then would ride the "Ride the Rockies" trip in Colorado. He rode that trip for 5 years. In 2006, he rode from home to St. Louis, and followed the Katy trail to the Lewis and Clark Trail to Portland, Oregon. Bob was an active member of Gloria Dei Lutheran church, was a Stephen Minister and sang in the choir. Bob served on the Lenawee County Department on Aging from 2001 ? 2004. He delivered meals on wheels, helped with the distribution of monthly commodities, drove elderly people to appointments and helped seniors with taxes. He served on the long-range planning committee, the Foster Grandparent Advisory Board and chaired the Lenawee Department of Aging Board for two years, retiring in 2011.
Surviving is his wife, Norma of Adrian; his children, Mary (Randy) Hughes of Centennial, Co., Robert Jr. of Centennial, CO, Jane Binns from Lakewood, CO. and Paul (Leslie) Binns of Aurora, CO.; grandchildren, Kendra Lynk, Leah Mische, Sebastian Binns, Lucille Binns, Caelan Binns, Cameron Binns and Madelyne Binns; a brother-in-law, Tom Wade of Monroe. Step-children, Gary (Tracy) Wonderly, Gregg Wonderly, Glen (Carol) Wonderly, Janelle (Jeff) McClure and Dale (Erin) Wonderly; 11 Step-grandchildren and 1 step great grandchild; his Aunt Joyce Binns and his surviving cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, step-father, Hal Marshall and James Hartsell, and sister, Evelyn Wade.
At Bob's request cremation has taken place. A memorial service for Bob will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Tecumseh with Pastor Gordon Peterson officiating. Full military rites conducted by the Onsted American Legion Durkee-Seager Post #550. Burial of cremains will take place at a later date in Brookside Cemetery in Tecumseh. Robert D. Munro
Entered into rest at the Almonte Hospital on Friday, January 19th, 1973, in his 84th year, Robert D. Munro, husband of the late Margaret Yuill, who predeceased him September 11th, 1961. Born in Lanark Township, August 20th, 1889, he was the last member of an old and well known family, son of the late Daniel Munro and his wife Betsy Rintoul. On June 12th, 1912, he and his wife were married at Hall's Mills and settled on the homestead where he was born and brought up, where they lived for over forty years. Sixteen years ago he moved to Clayton Village, where he spent the remainder of his lifetime. Deceased was a member of Clayton United Church. Surviving to morn the loss of a dear father and grandfather are, one son, Arthur of Clayton, and two daughters, Addle (Mrs. Matt Somerville), Middleville and Margaret (Mrs. George S. Affleck), Clayton. There are also five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Deceased members of his family are five brothers, Hugh, John, William, David and Charles and two sisters, Kate (Mrs. James Stewart) and Maggie (Mrs. Arch. McNeil). The funeral was held on Monday, January 22nd, at 2 o'clock from the Kerry Funeral Home, Almonte. Service was conducted by Rev. Gordon C. Smyth of the Central Lanark Parish. Pallbearers were four nephews and two grandsons; George Stewart, Leonard Munro, Ronald Yuill, Donald Munro, Frank Somerville and Wayne Affleck.
