Sept. 30, 1891: Hebron to Salem. Walter E. Banning's wife is sick, and the doctor thinks she should go to the hospital for a few weeks. There are a number of little children who may need help.
Oct. 7, 1891: Hebron to Salem. Walter Banning, his wife Rosa & 4 children (Frederick, ae 8; Florence, ae 5; Frank, ae 3; B. Mary, ae 1 year 5 months) are on expense. Mrs. Banning was taken to Hartford hospital yesterday.
Oct. 8, 1891: Salem to Hebron. Walter Banning is not an inhabitant of Salem; I think he belongs to Chatham or somewhere in that vicinity.
Oct. 20, 1891: Hebron to Lyme. Notification that Walter Banning and family were on expense.

Oct. 27, 1894: Hebron to Salem. Walter E. Banning, wife Rosa, & children (Frederick, ae 11; Florence, ae 8; Frank, ae 6; Mabel, ae 2) are on expense. We are thinking of having the children committed to the children's home in Vernon.

Truman Pennock was the father of ten children who all lived in Markham Township,Upper Canada (Ontario.) He was born in Strafford, Vermont the son of Ira and Molly Pennock, and married Catherine Badgero, while still living in the US. Another branch of the Vermont Pennock family settled in eastern Ontario in the late 1700s.
Land records show they lived in Riga Township, New York state, before 1821. By 1823, Truman Pennock and his wife and children were living in Markham Township, Upper Canada. Truman was born in Strafford, Vt., in 1787. Catherine was born in upper NY state. Children born in NY were William, Diana, and Trueman. | Pennock, Truman (I05008)
