| Evelyn Byers BYERS, Evelyn Mary - Evelyn Byers, a former resident of North Bay, passed away peacefully at her residence in Toronto on Friday, February 3, 2006 in her 77th year. Evelyn was born in North Himsworth Township, September 24, 1929, the beloved daughter of the late Levi and Agnes Byers of Callander. She is survived by three brothers and five sisters: Gladys (late Tom) Masson, Callander; Wilda Byers, New Brunswick; Violet (late Eric) Hazelwood, Powassan; Wilburn (late Isobel), Powassan; Sam (Ethel), Dunnville; Gwen (Clarence) Hazelwood, Saskatchewan; Tom (Carolyn), Chatham; Marjorie Trainer, North Bay. She was predeceased by a brother Andy, Chatham and a sister, Greta (Hector) Bayliss, Hamilton. She will also be missed by many nephews and nieces, friends and relatives. Friends and relatives may pay their final respects at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan today, February 6th, 2006 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Spring interment, Nipissing cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
