St. Christopher’s dates from the 14th century; in the middle of the 15th century the west tower and south porch were added. The church was much restored in 1853 when the north aisle was added and the tower and south porch largely rebuilt but retaining their original lines.
The bells of St. Christopher’s were restored in 2012 and the exterior masonry restored in
    2014.

  • Notes
    • Frederick Hazelwood and Maggie Baird emigrated from England due to Frederick Hazelwood's health (he received gas poisoning in the First World War and they thought the Australian climate may be better for him). They would have emigrated around 1920. They were farmers in England and continued this in Australia at a place called Hay in New South Wales. Frederick died at Hay in 1921. Maggie then remarried and lived to an old age and is buried at a place called Nangus in New South Wales.
