| Paul and Pauline Williams with Frank and Audrey Armstrong Paul Ethan Williams (Violet's first husband) holding his daughter Pauline Williams Streeter. Beside them is Frank "Red" Armstrong (Gladys' husband) and his daughter Audrey. Paul contracted Tuberculosis and spent just about the entirety of Pauline's childhood in an sanitarium. She didn't see him much and when she did she didn't know him and was scared of him. He died when she was 7 years old. This picture was taken outside the Sunshine Sanitarium in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It no longer exists. |
